Need llmd in GA USA, I think..guess I'm the new (sort of) guy, not sure if I am in the right place

been lurking here for a bit, Here goes a heck of a first post,
for about 3 years now I have been fighting a mystery illness. I have at least 80% of the symptoms listed for Lyme. Prior to the problems, I had a lone star tick embedded in my side in GA, no bullseye rash tho. I also travel and spend a lot of time in the mountains of CO. I am very outdoorsy and have had many ticks bite me over the years. I have spent literally tens of thousands with doctors, had 2 surgeries and still am no better than when it started. Early on my family dr did an elisa for lymes and it was negative. I personally paid for a western blot last year, it came back all bands absent. I have better times and worse times but it never goes away. I have some Gastro issues with it, one of my doctors suspected my gall bladder was bad as nausea is one of the symptoms. One evening after the dr had ordered a gall bladder ultrasound that morning....I began running a fever 100+ DR told me to go to the ER as he was already suspecting gall bladder. At the ER gall bladder ultra sounds and ct scans came back fine, they gave me an iv of a broad spectrum anti biotic (can remember name, memory sucks now too). I felt better the following week to ten days or so than I had since this started. My fatigue was much better, overall just great, not 100% but much better. Then it slowly came back over the next few days. My family doc says the antibiotic probably had an anti inflamatory affect. Anyway, Maybe someone can offer advice or point me in a direction to go...help?

Welcome to the forum! So sorry you're sick. I know all about "mystery illness." Mine was a mystery for 7.5 years.

Sounds very suspicious of Lyme to me - and you have known tick bites. I've never had a known tick bite or bull's eye rash, but my DNA Connexions test found Lyme and ehrlichia bacteria in my urine sample! I'm from GA. If you're living in GA, please do look for a Lyme literate doctor, because the doctors in my town in GA think there's NO LYME IN GEORGIA because the CDC says so.

Sounds like a dysbiosis caused by something. I tend to say it is multiple pathogens, but borrelia could certainly be one of them. You may have to do like me and reduce animal protein intake. That is the very last thing I wanted to do but it worked. I now just talk about hunting instead of hunting.

We lived in the south for a time. We brought our love of sweet tea up north with us.

We, too, have been bitten by numerous ticks. GI symptoms are very prevalent in our daughter. Just recently she tested positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted fever.

RMSF can be transmitted by a Lone Star Tick and is found in CO and the south. Also, Bartonella is another bugger that can wreak havoc on the GI system.

You didn't state if you have been seen by an LLMD or LLND. If you haven't, I would. Not that my daughter is free and clear but we are getting answers that traditional medicine haven't been able to provide.

How likely is a false negative on western blot with zero bands present? I am just trying to limit my costs as I have already spent over 20 grand with ZERO results.

I think you would be wise to see an LLMD.

I think you should pursue getting another Lyme Western Blot. At the beginning of my mystery illness I had an embedded tick. It may have been a Lone Star. I did not have a bulls-eye rash.
