Constant runny nose under 60 F degrees? 3 years now, not like this pre ABX/ lyme & candida treatment

Did not have this as bad before lyme abx. I often wonder if Candida had something to do with this "permanent" change. I posted in the past on this- newer people now though.

Allergy meds dont seem to do anything, and I dont sneeze or get achy, tired ect, so I dont think its mold reaction. In the woods or at the shopping parking lot/ town- concrete or nature, it doesn't matter as long as its cool air.

I was not like this before treatment. It took cold 25F and colder weather to make my nose runny then, (thats prob normal).

ideas?

Hmmm...i was going to say that's weird, but then I realized I'm beginning to experience something similar. I only took antibiotics ( very) briefly so far, but know candidia is a major issue.

The only thing I can think of in relation to myself is that I used to have seasonal allergies, but I did the raw local honey thing for several years & one year realized- hey no more allergies!

Since stopping sugar I haven't been consuming the raw honey & even though I have pollen, I've not been taking it consistently ( so much stuff to take!)

I guess I was attributing my runny nose ( mild running, not severe) to the fact that I've been slacking on the honey/ pollen.

Maybe I've been wrong!

How runny are we talking about here?

Its not running out of control in a gross way, but enough for almost constant sniffling even though I dont have a cold. Its just clear, nothing gross like sinus infection ect. (TMI)

Inhaling cool air does this way more than before, doesn't need to be real cold. When its cool here its almost always damp. So I dont experience a dry cool, thus dont know if that would make a difference.

I went to a reg Dr, then an allergist 2.5 yrs ago, they found nothing with a scratch test on my back (weird test). Tested 60 common allergens.

So I dont think its season allergies since its only a sniffly nose - none of the other allergy symptoms that people get.

My clean , no glutan, no dairy Paleo diet did not make this any better. I dont have Candida signs, had it many times so I know what its like.

How about histamine sensitivity? I had no idea some foods were high in histamines so I've cut them out. No noticeable difference yet.

Assuming this is your immune system revving a little high - do you have any other autoimmune sx?

histamine? - then anti-histamine would help, right. Tried last year, no difference.

other autoimmune sx? Nothing different out of the ordinary for me. I have known autoimmune :Hashimoto - currently feel pretty good with that..The "cool air sniffles" dont correlate with my thyroid hormone levels though. Also Vitaligo (autoimmune skin condition) had ANA in the past.

Fact is I feel better every month (besides the sniffles) as far as muscle aches and almost normal energy.

Kinda vague, but....umm, ok.

My basic lyme symptoms are gone. This seems to be part of the aftermath, no biggie, just annoying. Part of the "new me" I can do without.

I'll try a different spin on your same positive approach though. I get an average weekly paycheck. I will get rich.

I wonder if it's neurological. I have a similar situation but I also get head tingling too so that's why I think along that line.

I don't have any other thoughts. All the other thoughts were covered already.

Maybe I need probiotics for my nose?

Hmm. Are there nasal specific probiotics. ?

I used good oral probiotics for years until my clean diet seemed to have all the gut bennies that prevoius probiotics did- so I stopped using them.

I genious ENT Dr would help. Good luck with me finding one.

As far as nuero, all my past nuero stuff is 90% better. The remaining can be Hashimoto related to - but not sniffling.

It is one of my most annoying symptoms. Runny nose and a nasal drip causing a horrible cough which brings up clear thick phlegm and sometimes wheezing. Terrible!!!!

I used to get more phlegm. Its like that sawaped places with my now runny nose.

I get enough phlegm with colds that it will casuse Apnea at night - sleeping on my side was the solution, but that would increase back pain. Now that my backs better, I can and prefer to sleep on my side.
