Im probably over 10 years into lyme. Diagnosed like 2 years ago. One of my 1st symptoms was an asthma diagnosis. I had great lungs before getting sick. I have not been able to treat due to many factors. But finally saw llmd and she has me on detox supplements before starting treatment due to BAD herxing with treatment . The detox is giving me HORRID breathing difficulties. Am I allergic to the detox supplement or the probiotics or is this a symptom of detox? Had to use emergency inhaler and normally I don't need inhalers at all. Could this be a detox symptom or am I allergic to something that I'm taking? There is nothing in them that I think I could be allergic to but who knows. My chest feels congested and swollen and it is just hard to breathe. can anyone relate? Is this a detox symptom?

Hard to say not knowing what all your dealing with. Asthma doesn't sound like a detox issue IMO. Also doesn't sound like a Lyme symptom. DOES sound like a mold symptom.

If the asthma IS due to mold exposure or mycotoxin toxicity, then binders that remove toxins can definitely worsen symptoms. Cholestyramine is the most notable binder that can cause severe worsening of symptoms b/c it moves large loads of toxins and can quickly overload your detox pathways.

ASTHMA: Was this diagnosed with a methycholine challenge test? If not, I would question the diagnosis. You can have asthma-like symptoms from mold, Lyme, babesia and not have true asthma. I did.

You said you've not been able to treat at all. Are you not able to use herbal treatment either?

Well, yes I did get diagnosed with a methycholine challenge on the first blow. But I still question mild because I never had bad.lungs.until I got sick. I am also EXTREMELY dizzy.
