My LLMD has placed me on a new compound for busting biofilms--DMPS/Alpha Lipoic Acid/Bi****h Subnitrate (at least I think that's . Anyone heard of or tried this? I can't find much online.

I was previously on xylitol/lactoferrin for biofilms.

I've heard of Ala and dmps. Those are chelators. I researched them a lot because my child has autism and chelation is supposed to help autistic kids because a lot of them have heavy metal overload. I only tried it once because it was hard to get my kids to take the ala. I'm not sure about b****h subnitrate. What's the stars mean?

I only know of their relation to autism. I haven't researched their relation to lyme but I think I will be doing that next.lol

LOL! So sorry about the stars appearing instead of letters! This happens automatically in order to censor certain words - this is a "family friendly" forum. I'm still not sure why it censored those particular letters though!!

According to the Buhner protocol site: "I (Buhner) used to be able to obtain B-I-S-M-U-T-H capsules without too much trouble, however that is no longer possible. If you have a friendly physician, I would highly recommend the use of ranitidine B-I-S-M-U-T-H citrate (see e.g. Brorson O and Brorson SH. Susceptibility of motile and cystic forms of Borrelia burgdorferi to ranitidine B-I-S-M-U-T-H citrate. Int Microbiol 2001; 4(4):209-15).

Borrelia are highly succeptible to B-I-S-M-U-T-H and the good thing about GI tract involvement is that the B-I-S-M-U-T-H can directly interact with the organisms as it moves through the GI tract."

bismuth is in Pepto Bismol.

When I was younger sometimes after I ate, i would have diarrhea...(never found out why) and I would take Pepto Bismol.
i read that it has some anti-bacterial effect.
(This was before lyme)

I don't know what other ingredients are in the Pepto Bismol, though.

The way the doctor described it, the bi****h is chemically bound to the ALA (apparently bi****h is toxic--he told me to never take Pepto Bismol). Supposedly they work together to bust up the biofilms.

He's got me taking two pills a week, several days apart, for the first week, which I just began yesterday (so far, so good). Then one pill daily for one week, then two pills daily for one week, then two pills twice daily. Doing this M-F with none on the weekend. We'll see how it goes...

Pulling up an old thread. I'm starting on a new biofilm buster. It's called Biosolve-PA and it's what wvmamacharlie was describing. The formulation was developed by a physician to specifically treat biofilms after years of clinical research. It's compounded into capsules on a physician's request by Imprimis RX in Irvine Calif.
It's DMPS 25mg/Lipoic Acid 100mg/Bi****h Subnitrate 200 mg

It just came this morning. Haven't taken any yet.

DO NOT take this if you have mercury amalgam fillings

these are heavy duty chelators and they will draw out mercury from your teeth and make you feel like road kill

yes, that is my concern as well, will the ala and dmps pull out mercury and redistribute it ? my doc said no, but i am not convinced.
in lieu of biosolve. a person might check out the andy cutler chelation for heavy metals. it uses ala and dmps/dmsa but it needs to be done correctly.

I know this thread is old but not sure why the author of this thread's LLMD switched him off Xylitol/Lactoferrin the combination works fine. If you really want to slice through biofilms like a hot knife to butter you need to use something like Daraprim (pyrimethamine or PZA).
