Lyme Literate Opthamologist in Raleigh?

I finally got in to see an LLMD and she wants me to go see an opthamologist before my next appt. to have my discs checked. She didn't have a lyme literate one to recommend but says she knows there are some. Anyone know of any in Raleigh?

I don't know any in Raleigh, but my LLMD in Beverly Hills is an ophthalmologist and she's amazing. Very thorough. I'm wondering if you can't have all the tests done in Raleigh and send them to her by email or Skype? Might be worth investigating. Far as I know, she only treats Lyme now.

You may need to see one that isn't lyme Literate.


I didn't see an Ophthalmologist for the pressure behind my eyes...I went to an Optometrist.


She did a very thorough exam.....and knew about how Lyme disease can affect the eye.

Then she had me make another appointment for a Visual fields test.

Did you find an opthamologist in Raleigh? I found a LL optometrist in Greensboro area... wish the MDs all had the same perspective he does. I know there's a LL optometrist in the Raleigh area too b/c this one's loved one had Lyme badly. :-(

I did not find one but did end up going to a great ophthalmologist today, Dr. Joyner near Six Forks Rd., and luckily my optic nerve and everything looked fine. He was very nice and thorough with my exam.
