How long do you suspect you have been infected?

I don't think 3 weeks of Doxy is enough to put it in remission. Especially if it dosing was insufficient.

If you want to continue anti-biotic treatment, you will probably need an LLMD. Regular doctors and ID doctors will probably declare you "cured" since you got 3 weeks of Doxy. That is horse s**t obviously.

If you are interested in pursuing herbal or alternative treatment, many people here can help guide you.

I have had pretty good luck with anti-biotics.

Since you are still having symptoms you still need treatment. You can go to ilads.org and print out the treatment guidelines. Bring it to your appt and hopefully your md will prescribe more doxy. You should have been taking at least 400 mg a day.

You should seek out an llmd they are more experienced at treating Lyme properly. You can find one here bu enabling your email and them ember ca respond. You would need to start a new post saying "Seeking llmd in your area"

You should be detoxing, there are many suggestions on our new to Lyme start here thread.
Some are Epsom salt bathes(not to hot though), drinking water with lemon juice in it all day.

Many people do use herbal protocols. If you are afraid of of reactions, just start off with one herbal tincture and only 1 drop to see how you do. Just do your research on the herbal to be sure of any side effects or contradictions.

Thanks guys. Im in the ER as we speak because of chest pain and blurred vision. Seems to be just anxiety. My knees werent swollen just sore as ever and felt a bit lightheaded. I knew i needed vitamin D and iron but i had NO idea it would be this. And to think we cant get rid of it

i just love it. i have similar experiences. in 2014 while i was admitted to hospital they kept on studying me (all blood tests fine). One dr said it's "something weird".

this bacteria is too smart for our current healthcare systems to even detect it, let alone treat it.

this will be very funny if we were just watching a movie and not suffering from this. but let's keep the fun going ... so ... can u ask your other doctor if during his education as a healthcare practicioner they trained doctors to identify diseases or to dismiss diseases ? Yes your condition is probably not AIDS, not Ebola, not measles.

But can he just focus on what this condition is, not what it is not ? :/
