Sorry for this winded post, but here goes. I have a few questions that I'll break into sections. If anyone has input for any one of these, it's really appreciated:
1. Herb Timing:
I'm taking a bunch of Buhner herbs for bartonella and I was wondering if maybe I'm taking them wrong. I typically just throw them all into one small cup and then down it. Should I be splitting them up at all? I know he mentioned rhodolia and ashwaganda should be taken "together", so should I take these together or are they okay in my "buhner soup"?
Here is my current list:
- Jap. Knot.
- Houttuynia
- Sida
- Rhodolia
- Ashwaganda
- Hawthorne
- ECGC (caps)
Taking everything at full dose for about
three weeks now. Didn't notice any herxing so I ramped them all up quite fast. Soon I plan to add cordyceps, red root, and cats claw.
I should mention I am also on prescript
ion meds:
- Plaquenil
- Malarone
- Biaxin
- Bactrim (currently on break from this until WBC increase)
2. Length of Buhner protocol:
How long is acceptable to remain on these herbs? So far I've noticed little progress. Maybe some slight improvement, but it's hard to tell.
3. Anyone have any herbal recommendations for the following symptoms that I'm not currently taking? I have two of Buhner's books but it's difficult to figure out what I need.
- Muscle twitching (systemic). This issue is minor for me, maybe a dozen or two muscle twitches a day, mostly in legs but also other areas.
- Shakyness/tremors. Both internal and in my hands/arms. Tend to happen when I'm using my muscles (mechanical tremors). Any caffeine at all makes it worse.
- Bone pain/aches in hands (especially in AM)
- Muscle pain and tendon pain in back muscles that connect to shoulders, shoulders themselves, arms, hands (worst symptom)
- Intermittent chest pains
- Muscle pain in neck muscle and front of ankles
- Random sharp pains on bottoms of feet that last a few minutes then fade
4. Herb sources
So far I've been getting most of my herbs from Woodlands essence, but I've also gotten some (Rhodolia and ashwaganda, ECGC) from amazon as tinctures. I'm debating getting
cordyceps powder from amazon as well, but should I just be getting all of the herbs from Woodlands?
Thanks for anyone who took the time to read that.
