I have a Sunlighten Infrared Sauna I bought second hand. I had to make sure it had low EMF readings because the first sauna was a cheap one and after while I started to realize I was feeling stressed and sick in it. And then in the next few hours after using it I felt strangely jittery.
The sauna I now have is dome style you can lie down with your head exposed. It makes such a difference because you can stay in it longer than the ones you have to sit up in. It is exhausting being in a sauna when you are ill and lying down helps.
I cant say I noticed any immediate benefits, energy wise. Overtime I have got a lot better but I am dong everything possible and I do believe this is an effective detox support.
From my research most people do it several times a week for 1/2 an hour. I think it is up to the individual. I stay in til I have a good sweat and that can depend on the weather and the settings on the sauna. In hot weather its there within 25 minutes but in winter it takes longer.
I am a poor detoxer I dont rely on it solely to get the toxins. It definitely helped me with a heavy metal detox - I was taking supplements and getting my levels tested and I had tangible evidence things were working well, but over time I have found it doesn't get everything you need to do others things - foot detox, herbal detoxes etc., I take megahydrate, charcoal capsules.
Initially there were after effects, the heat was a bit exhausting at first but I am used to it now. I did find for a while I felt dizzy afterwards. You dont want the settings up too high. It never happens now - I cant really say what was happening. Maybe it was some kind of detox and something was being stirred up. Starting slow would be a good idea.
All the best with it - it will help
