Progress... I hope. Seems a little fishy though. He's an identifiable leader of the Lyme cabal and needs to be held accountable in a public forum. And their presence is important in processes like this as decisions are being made. Otherwise, there's an opportunity for disconnection and loss of accountability.

Apparently Wormser declined the invitation to join the panel.

“Dr. Gary Wormser has declined the invitation to serve on the Tick-Borne Disease Working Group. A nominee will be selected to replace him from the list of highly qualified persons whose names had been previously submitted in response to the public call for nominations. It is unlikely that this selection will be made and finalized before the December 11 meeting.”

I am so very glad he is off the panel. More than 10,000 signed the petition in 4 days time. I'd say the powers that be saw this and perhaps even read some of our comments and decided better to have Wormser "decline" than move forward with him on the panel. this gives me hope that our collective voices can change things for the better. Looking forward to what this panel may bring to those of us suffering.

I sure hope they put a lyme patient on the panel!

Senator Gillibrand is pushing for lyme patients to be on the panel. Finally someone knows who should be on the panel.
