Twitching after 1 year

Was diagnosed with Lyme last January. After two separate courses of doxycycline over the span of 4 months, majority of my neuro symptoms have stopped (muscle burning, tingling extremities, numbness in face). It has now been almost a year. I feel the muscle twitching has gotten worse and some of my muscles are starting to cramp/tighten. I have tingling here and there.
I'm concerned Lyme could've led to something. I've been to two neurologists who said I'm fine which gives me comfort. I just can't seem to shake this thing. Has anybody else experienced this? Any advice?

I usually stay away from doctor bashing, but in my experience, neurologists are just about the most worthless of the medical professionals I encountered. I went to three. The first two did their insurance allotted 15 minute check-up and told me I was fine. The third one actually did tests to discover I have autonomic peripheral neuropathy and informed me that I did in fact have at least one lesion on my brain MRI (which the others looked at and said showed nothing). An ENT found central vertigo which all three neurologists should have been tipped off to with a very simple follow the pen eye test (I thought I was following it, turns out my eyeballs were jittering the whole way). Meanwhile, I twitched, buzzed, had light and sound sensitivity, muscle weakness, muscle tightness, crazy horrible nightmares, intense head pressure, anxiety, jaw pain, lip tingling, floaters, blurry vision, double vision, etc...but hey, nothing wrong with me. I'm with goshawk, go to an LLMD. These problems were caused by bartonella for me.

Wow! Reading your post confirms my suspicions that bart is my biggest problem. I've had many of those symptoms, too, but probably at less intensity as you.

I'm not seeing a LLMD right now...but most people treating with antibiotics are seeing LLMD's.

I do know they don't usually take insurance.

Have you been given names of LLMD's and called around for prices, whether they do take insurance? Maybe you will find one who does.

i've found that twitching is mostly from bartonella. i've known several folks who've treated babesia and then the bartonella symptoms started showing up and/or existing symptoms becoming more severe. if you take a measured approach and eradicate the babesia then go after bartonella that tends to do the trick. if you stop babesia treatment too soon you won't make long term gains.

in this case brywill hasn't treated babesia so hard to say what's happening here but what's clear you need to be in active treatment if you're still experiencing symptoms.
