My doctor says my "initial testing was abnormal for lyme, but that I didn't meet criteria for lyme disease on the western blot." Also says I "showed positive antibodies for mono." Then says "with lyme disease he has old antibodies, but no current signs of infection on testing." Doc also says she doesn't think any of my symptoms are lyme. On my western blot I tested positive for the following ...
- P66
- P58
- P41
- P18
I was positive for 4. If I was positive for 5 then the CDC recognizes it as definitely Lyme?
I have dealt with horrible symptoms for over 5 years ...
- Muscle Twitching
- Insomnia
- Chronic Fatigue (like horrible fatigue ... can't function properly)
- Chronic Headaches
- Facial Pain
- Neck Pain
- Anxiety
- Malaise (very sick feeling ... blah ... out of it)
- Nausea
- Joint and muscle pain
- Pins and Needles feelings
- Memory problems
- Brian fog
- Trouble articulating my thoughts
- Strange pains throughout body
I saw a lyme literate doctor. He looked at my test results and my symptoms and said he believed it was lyme and co-infection. He put me on oral antibiotics. I felt a little better after two weeks then bad again. I did the antibiotics for like a month. Then came off of them. I've been doing vitamins, supplements, herbs, and essential oils. Here's what's cleared up ...
- Joint and muscle pain
- Pins and Needles feelings
- Muscle Twitching
Thankful those are better but I still feel like crap daily. Sleep always helps. But bad feelings quickly returns.
What do you guys make of my lab/test results and the four positives for the Western Blot?
I'm going back to my lyme doctor this week or next week.
