Lyme Disease clinic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico success rate

Just wondering if anyone has had success in the Lyme Disease clinic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I heard (through my ART practitioner) its a relatively new clinic (2015) that is getting brilliant results. The difference with this clinic and St George Klinik in Germany is that this clinic treat all the co-infections which significantly increases patients odds of getting better (in comparison to the treatment in St George anyhow).Its also cheaper. Hi Caramba. Yes I am. I was considering going to St George Klinik in Germany but as that clinic only treats Lyme, I thought this clinic may be better as it also treats co-infections. They also have interesting treatments and a hugh variety of treatments- which we all know is important with Lyme as something that works for one preson wont work for the other. If you get a hugh variety of treatments you have better chance of receiving a treatment that works for you specfically. I have'nt met or spoken to anyone who has been there though so no idea of success

If you have a good LLMD, you have a doctor who is treating co-infections.

Saying the clinic is different because it treats all co-infections sounds like marketing BS.

If it's a money thing I might understand that, but the best Lyme practitioners in the world are in the US... not sure why you'd want to go to Mexico.

I understand where you are coming from Mustard seed, Im in Australia and as a result getting treatment for Lyme alone is a hugh hurdle let alone the co-infections too. Im trying to decide between two clinic St george in Germany (which just treat lyme which is ridiculous considering most people with Lyme have co-infections too) and Mexico which treat both Lyme and the co-infectiosn. I agree about the best doctors being in the US. Its just completly not affordable for me. Thanks for taking the time to reply. You too Girlie.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread as I started it a year ago. My ART practitioner had suggested this clinic to me in Mexico as she had heard great things about it. I ended up having a skype with the doctor in this clinic. He was very professional and described the treatments that the clinic offered. It seemed to be impressive but was costly and invasive. The key thing for me was that I had not heard of anyone who had been through the treatment and had noticed improvements so I decided not to go there but to go to St George Klinik in Germany instead. I had spoken to three patients who had gone to the clinic in St George. Two were better and had made remarkable recoveries and one wasn't (she was worse). I went to the clinic and received three weeks of IV antibiotics, Hyperthermia, and plasmapheresis. There were also some other IVs , immune modulation and 2 or 3 ozone treatments. They put you on a 3-month post treatment protocol of medications and detox therapies. Unfortunately, I deteriorated after this treatment and actually became sicker rather than improving. Of the 4 patients who were there when I was there, 1 is better, 2 are worse off and the other person got sicker initially however another treatment for them eventually worked and pushed them into recovery(not sure they credit the clinic in Germany though).

After 4 months I heard of a clinic in Cyprus that does a 4 week ozone treatment program and decided to go there. after the 4 weeks of treatment I began to improve so I extended the treatment for another 3 weeks staying 7 weeks . I jumped from being 10% and mostly bedbound to being at about 40% which was a huge jump for me after being extremely debilitated for the 2 & 1/2 previous years. I jumped to around 60% a few months later and have maintained that level since then. This specific clinic really worked for me as I seem to be an individual who responds really well to ozone treatments,

Anyhow I just wanted to share with you all as I started this thread. I'm not promoting one clinic over another just sharing my own experience having considered three clinics and having gone to two of them!

thanks for coming back and replying after so long. these types of clinics have been coming up of late so any information folks with first hand experience can share is great.

from everything i know about these places my personal opinion is they're most effective when you've cleaned up the bulk of your infections previously and you are ready to get that extra 10-20% to get into full remission. not scientific of course but that seems to be the trend most folks seem to take.

Thank you Gismo! I really appreciate your advice and suggestions! I'm taking my 11 year old daughter with me for treatment, as well. She's been very sick. We were both bit on a hiking trip in a California in August 2016. My mom is coming with us and she is a nurse and will be our advocate. My daughter and I are staying in a room together and my mom will be staying at the hotel right next door. My husband will be holding down the fort with my two other kids while we are in treatment.

Do you feel that you were closely monitored during the actual hyperthermia treatments? Are they extremely careful?It seems so risky but I'm taking the risk because living like this the rest of my life feels like an even bigger risk.

Glad you have your mom with you to help you and your daughter. I also had someone with me and really needed them and their support while I was there. You will spend time in the morning doing ionic foot spa, detox and light therapy, then in the afternoon, you will have a lot of IVs. Iv antibiotics and IV Vitamin C. I also had IV Chelation due to having heavy metal toxicity. You will then have two sessions of hypertermia, usually one each week. there is also colonics and Ozone Major Autohemotherapy.They are very vigilant during the Hyperthermia and I always felt like I was getting excellent medical care. You will feel exhausted after the treatments but they monitor you in intensive care unit until 24 hrs post where you will then go back to your original room. I never had concerns from that perspective. for me the issue was that they schedule the doctor appointments when you are in other appointments and you miss the 1:1 with the doctor. We had to chase down the doctor to make sure I had my 1:1. They didint seem to care that I had missed the appointment, A few other patients had the same issues.
The doctors are friendly and nice and willing to tailor treatment to your specific needs although 90% of the package is the same for everyone. The key thing is to ensure you have that sit down time with the doctor so that you get the 10% tailored for you and your daughters needs. The rooms are basic but nice. they have ensuite and a couch/balcony. If you love tea bring your own kettle. I loved having a cuppa when I was able. The clinic is really warm too. they have heating on at all times. I went last January and it was freezing outside (-20) but lovely and warm inside. There is a mix of Lyme and Cancer patients in the clinic and the food they serve is really nice (although I was too sick to eat most of the time).

Evaston1- One more thing make sure you mention you and your daughter were bit in California. I dont fully understand this but I have heard of doctors treating American Lyme different to European Lyme. Just in case its important!

St George in Germany target Borrelia only. This is done through IV antibiotics at specific times and hyperthermia followed by IV antibiotics. My understanding is that the hyperthermia draws out the bacteria that is hidden and targets the different forms of it. Then the IV antibiotics and the second hyperthermia session kill the bacteria fully. The dr in the clinic says that Hyperthermia works 100% with Lyme and that it often works for many patients with Bartonella too. He was clear to point out that it does not work for Babesia

With the clinic in Cyprus, the ozone does a combination of killing and building up the body.Ozone is meant o work for all types of co-infections including parasitic types. I was diagnosed with borrelia, Bartonella and babesia. Although the treatment in the clinic in Germany could have made a hugh difference in reducing my infections it wasn't until I went to the clinic in Cyprus and had consistent ozone treatments that my symptoms reduced, I started to feel better and I started to recover.

We were advised to take probiotics post treatment However that could be as I had done a year+ of antibiotics. So to answer your question "sorry I dont know". I am taking them and will continue to for the next year
