Tinnitus sound like a bee buzing.

Anyone has this? It's a strong tinnitus, but sound like a bee. I'm thinking that maybe it's from bartonella... because this days i have horrible rib pain. It come intermitent and not so prolonged... Only few seconds... But i can feel it like someone shooting in my sternum...

I have tinnitus but it sounds like a low horn or engine of a truck. I have noticed that if I take a hot bath, shower or sauna it will go away for a short period. Heat increases blood flow so that is likely my cause. Or, could potentially be the detox factor.

I have tinnitus (while on abx it seems stronger) and visual disturbances like a million sparkles in front of my vision, black dots, waves, peripheral waves. Is this Lyme or Bart? The million dollar question.

Tinnitus produces all sorts of weird sounds! I too have tinnitus, and I have had loud, very long, high pitched screeches, low rumbling, deep tones, beating in time with my heart and more. The most painful ones are those very loud, very long high pitches screeches though!! Ugh! I HATE those sounds!

I've never seen any proof that one infection causes it more than any other infection, but if you can frequently associate it with symptoms of another infection, that would certainly be a good indication of which infection is causing it for you.

For what it's worth, my tinnitus isn't as severe since starting Lion's mane.

My husband had tinnitus with his lyme and we could not find any ONE thing that helped it. Eventually it was the combination of all the herbs that got his to go away.

It was so hard for him since he is a musician with a recording studio.

Could you name what herbs? So the abx didn't help or it wasn't long enough due to herxing?

he was also doing a multiple vitamin, extra B's, extra C's, collagen, fo-ti, pygeum and saw palmetto, a multi mushroom, lutein, naked whey protein, 1-2 kombuchas a day,

I am probably leaving out something.

He did not take any herbs for babs or bart. He healed with just the core protocol. He continued to go to the gym daily, but some days he came home and said he could not lift anything.

His lyme was caught very early and his first symptom was tinnitus. He didn't tell me for a couple of weeks. He thought it was old age. Then he started getting aches and pains and finally told me. He was never tested. He never saw a tick or a bull's eye. He did have some bite marks, but he thought those were mosquitoes.

Who knows. I'm just glad that he healed and he healed a heck of a lot quicker than I did.

I tested positive for Bartonella in 2012 after suffering dozens of symptoms starting in year 2000. Prior to treatment tinnitus was one of my ongoing symptoms and I also suffered the horrible rib/sternum pain which was so bad I could not wear regular pants. Any pressure on that area was intolerable so I had to wear yoga pants. My worst bout of the rib pain lasted almost 2 weeks. I could not eat so I sustained myself on a tablespoon of honey a few times a day.

A heating pad was my only relief and believe it or not---walking. Don't know if the walking was a distraction or if the activity somehow helped with the pressure.

Most fortunately treatment for the Bartonella & Lyme helped both of these symptoms. Initial treatment was Doxycycline, Azithromycin and Rifampin. Tinnitus is a reported side effect of Azithromycin but for me, many times when I went off of Azithromycin, the tinnitus would return.

I am still "work in progress" as far as the tbd's go. My story is a long one and I will share bit by bit as I see helpful for others as I don't wish to overwhelm you lovely folks. I wish I would have found this group back when I was first diagnosed as I felt very alone--my assistance dog had just passed away due to lyme & co-infections.

My husband was just recently diagnosed with Lyme & Babesia and I am trying to play wife, nurse and angel to get him well. I was elated to find this forum and the wealth of information and support

I always thought my pulsatile tinnitus was from bartonella. I've seen it on the bart symptom lists a few times.


But, it never fully went away - with over a year of bartonella treatment. It seemed to be somewhat better...but not fully.

Then I treated Babesia and it's now gone. It did take over 7 months of heavy babs meds.

I stumbled across this babesia symptom list - and it does have tinnitus listed.
