Welcome Clam Digger. Oh how some clam chowder sounds good to me on this chilly morning here at my house.
My local health food store was very helpful in my finding a local doctor for a friend. I would start there. Word of mouth is amazing still. You can also find lyme groups on Facebook and that is a great place for local references. Many towns have lyme support groups on FB.
Buhner has a list of herbalists:
buhnerhealinglyme.com/resources/herbalists/And other resources are these below. You will have to call and see if they are LLND and if they use herbs or antibiotics. I found an LLMD that used herbs through these sites.
/sites.google.com/site/lymedoctors//globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/ilads.org/ilads_media/physician-referral//www.lymediseaseassociation.org/ -- Go to Dr. Referral tab
It is surprising how they keep these sites so up-to-date. You will have to interview each one you find. You can find suggested questions to ask in the New To Lyme thread at the top of the forum list.
And there are various herbal protocols you can learn from a book and do yourself. I did Buhner's core protocol from his book, Healing Lyme, 2nd Ed. I had horrible lyme brain and still made it.
There are many helpful people on this forum that are glad to help you.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
