Whoa!!!
So I was off the forum for a few days trying to nurse this infection. I thought my convo with Magoo2 would fade away into the archives. Not expecting this response! But glad we can all "talk" about
it.
I will try to respond to what I remember without going through all the replies. But having neuro issues so sorry if I forget something.
Yes, my Dr. follows the Huggins protocol. And in hindsight I should have done the ABX. Because I know my self. I just wrecked my gut last year with ABX for Lyme and SIBO and didn't want to have to take more. But I should have because now I am and will probably have to have another surgery therefore more ABX. I didn't do Vit C IV like suggested because I could not coordinate with the naturopath correctly and also financially it was too much. I did and have been doing high dose lipospheric Vit C.
Like I said before we are all different. For me, going the dental route, was my last resort since treatment has been nothing but a disappointment. And at this point in doesn't really feel dental. Since we are dealing with my bones. Of course our teeth are connected to the bone. But my teeth are great! In fact all the dentists say whatever I am doing for home care to keep doing. I went in for a cleaning before the surgery and the dentist said there was nothing to clean or scrape. Oil pulling is what I think has helped with THAT aspect. In fact I plan to bill insurance as medical. But that's not the point.
Whether someone should do this route or not is their prerogative... For me it was a must. I have been sick for long time, but it wasnt until I had my root canals (improperly) extracted 3 years ago that my health took a drastic nose dive. BUT, 6 months after that I also moved to a new country, house, weather, surroundings. We also suspect mold. So that could play a role too. My greatest symptom was my face, cheek, jaw pain. And now I know why.
Is anyone here familiar with Weston A. Price? If not you MUST check him out. They have a foundation now dedicated to his research. In fact I used to be a chapter leader before I got really sick. Price was a DDS in 1930's who did fascinating research on the health of teeth related to diet and total body health. His son actually died from a root canal. His point was that the health of the teeth begin with the diet of generations before us. Magoo2, was it you that mentioned your teeth came in bad? My father had to have all his teeth removed at age 19 because they all came in decayed. My grandmother drank tons of coke daily while pregnant with him. This was in the 30's. However, my dad was very healthy the rest of his life! My point about
that story is this. I had gone to WAPF conference where I heard Felix Lao, a biological dentist speak. He said as much as he hates root canals, he would be very cautious about
removing them if one is healthy. Not healthy a different story. And ONLY by an expert in the field. I never understood that. But now I do! Because I had mine removed by an inexperienced oral surgeon. And here I am 3 years later reaping the consequences, across the world, away from my husband, writhing in pain and infection because of his lack of expertise. I am in good hands now, but apparently there is boatload of repair to clean up and it looks like it's not gonna be an easy road.
I agree about
the metals! I used to work for a naturopath and we had at least 4 patients that I can recall come in after having some sort of titanium implant put in their mouth or body and then their health failed.
Again we are all different and heal differently. I really do think it is an immune dysfunction somehow and also related to the gut.
I read or heard somewhere to treat the Lyme first then do the dental. Well I supposedly did that, so we will see...
I have to stop now, head is spinning. Hope I didn't forget anything!!
And......Here's to a HAPPY AND HEALTHY 2017!!!
