Pulsing Doxy?

What are specific protocols for pulsing Doxy? I took Tetracycline instead for a long time b/c the only time I'd ever taken Doxy for a month, I felt like I was going to die the whole time, it just does something really toxic-feeling to me. However, I also felt like I needed to try again and needed the coverage, but five days back on and I'm back to feeling so horrible -- none of the other meds make me feel quite this bad, except maybe Mepron when I was on it for awhile.

Anyway, feels like the "normal" dose is just way too much for my body and yes, I'm doing a lot of detox strategies, anti-inflammatory supps, etc. If I'm going to try pulsing though I'd like to know what has worked best for others (mostly specifics: days on/days off, dosing, etc.).

What are you going to take with it?
I wouldn't pulse one antibiotic by itself.

After over a year on daily dosing I decided to pulse my abx for bartonella M/W/F and my LLND said it was fine. I don't think I took week long breaks though...like I'm doing now. (A week or two off)

Initially I took it 6 days a week 2x a day with tini 3 days a week. The last time I took it, again with tini, m-w-f.

I think it's good to listen to your body. Maybe try every other day for now? Are you taking herbs or anything else with it?

Hello Kct. Can you please elaborate on this protocol ?
Do you pulse both the minocycline and the tindamax ? How exactly ?
Do you have a link to this specific Eva Sapi study? Does the study mention the effectiveness of a pulsed antibiotic therapy?

Hi all, I'm on a lot of other meds and herbs. Rifampin which I tolerate *great,* Ceftriaxone (IV), and herbs including now: cat's claw, houttuynia, and mimosa pudica (for babs). I seem to tolerate most other things okay though actually can't do tinda or Flagyl as Flagyl gave me severe peripheral neuropathy so I'm off all of those drugs. Do take oregano for cyst busting, along with grapefruit seed extract and some other things for biofilms.

So really its just Doxy that's a big issue for me for some reason.
I'm definitely intrigued by Sapi's protocol as I really respect her work, but wonder if there's a substitute for the tinda that she recommends since I can't take that?

It does sound like every other day could be good for me, I'll try that. Just noting, this is after several yrs now on Rifampin plus tetra (which I tolerate well); just for some reason Doxy is a real nightmare, and I feel liek I'm not getting enough results without it.
