Essential Oils For Lyme, Detox, Lyme, and Immune Health

I know there have been threads on this in the past. But, I may be giving strictly diet and essential oils a try here shortly.

I have been doing a lot of research on the effectiveness of essential oils on Lyme and co infections, mold, detoxification aid, and immune health. There is a wealth of information out there backed by scientific studies of the effectiveness of certain oils against the Lyme bacteria and it's co infections. I haven't read any scientific studies on the effectiveness on mold. But, I found a few reputable websites regarding certain oils as being the most effecting soldiers against mold.

Thus far, I have been using the oils relatively sparingly. I will run an oil diffuser in my main room for the majority of the day. This one will consist of either an immune strengthening blend, a nerve support blend, or Oregano. At night, I run one in my bedroom that is the nerve support blend most of the time.

Currently, I am on oral antibiotics for Lyme and Babs. However, I have herxed so bad lately on the Flagyl days, that I think the protocol may be counterproductive for me. At first, I wasn't sure if the abx were effective, and just my infection was worsening. But after my last round of abx, I'm almost certain that my brain is having issues dealing with all the toxins. My LLMD is most likely going to be putting me on IV abx next month. I am going to see how that goes. And if the herxes are too big, I am backing off abx all together and going strictly with essential oils and heavy detoxing.

Here's the plan with essential oils...

I found a Purify blend from an extremely reputable vendor that includes many of the oils the Lyme Warrior site states are effective against Lyme infections. I will be mixing that with a carrier oil and applying it 3x a day. I also found a lymph support blend that I will be applying twice a day with a carrier oil. And I will be making my own blend far my main detoxifying blend which will include lemon, lavender, peppermint, and oregano. I will apply this twice a day as well.

We recently had a mold issue in our crawl space cleaned up. But, as most of you know, that doesn't mean that's the end of it. From what I have researched, cinnamon, clove, tea tree, and thyme are extremely effective at killing the spores. I will be making a concoction of this and diffusing it throughout the house throughout each day.

This, along with Dr Wahl's Paleo based diet, and I expect to be seeing some improvements.

Sounds like a plan. Do you mean you're going to use them on the skin only, not internally? Also, do you know where to get those diffusers (good ones)? I don't know much about EOs but I'm interested. If they would help even with something...

I was told by a bioresonance therapist to take Black spruce essential oil and diluted rose essential oil internally for possible parasites... but I'm hesitating...

For now, I am just going to use them topically. The Lyme Warrior website states that people should start out really slow. People have had pretty severe herxes from just a little of this stuff. So definitely do your homework before diving in. Speaking of which, my original plan may be a little too aggressive.

As far as diffusers go, my wife says this would be a good one.

We've got 3, and may get another. If we do, we will probably go this route.

There are a few really good EO companies out there. My wife swears by RMO. So, that is what we go with.

RMO's Purify oil has one of the recommended primary oils and 3 of the recommended secondary oils in it for Lyme. I was going to get a bunch and make my own. But, there is no need now.

I've posted about oils before. I happened upon a DoTerra rep and she's been helpful in guiding me. They have a Purify blend (not sure if that's the one you mean) that I use in my epsom bath's. I also diffuse other oils. I've taken oil of oregano.

Whichever brand you use, be sure and do some research on the quality. I would only use DoTerra or YoungLiving because those are the ones I know are pure. Even topically or diffused, you're ingesting the oils. There may be other brands, but having two to go-to was enough for me.

When I first got sick I tried tea tree oil in a carrier (admittedly i was a little loose with my dilutions and made it a bit strong) but my whole lymph system reacted immediately. The whole system became painful to touch and I herxed really bad. So start slow!
Also re mold. I highly suggest you fog your house and crawlspace with Benefect (it's a hospital grade disinfectant made purely from thyme oil), guaranteed to kill spores.We bought a fogging machine from concorbium for about $300 and did it ourselves. Concorbium product is good for any places where you can't remove the mold, on beams etc, as it encapsulates it. Buying the Benefect and fogger isn't cheap, but at least you can reapply every couple of years. Diffusing EO's just won't cut it. http://www.benefect.com/US/mold.php
