I used PVC pipes. My grandma made a covering for the frame out of cotton duck fabric. Though, I added a ton of blankets to insulate it further. I imagine you could rig something together.
I haven't measured how hot it gets for awhile, as the thermometer I was using in there broke. It was 120 in the summer. In the winter, we have poor insulation in that part of the house, so I'd guess 100, if I'm lucky.
Still, I definitely start sweating buckets after being exposed to the lights for about 15 minutes. Certain to not let the lights hit my skin in a way that creates pain or discomfort, though.
I think I was inspired by the Dr. Wilson link, actually, now that I see it again.
