A-bart herx reaction????

I am hoping someone can help!

I am trying to rid my body of Bartonella. After Bactrim and Rifampin stopped working, my dr tried cirpo. After less than 2 full days of that med I had an out of body experience, horrible to the point it took a week to feel back to normal. He suggested we do Factive again, but until that comes in, to start Byron White's A-bart tincture. After 2 days of 1 drop in am and pm I started with a burning itching rash under my butt cheek, on the back of my thighs and behind my knee. It has now been 6 days since my last drop of A-bart and I am still breaking out in the rash, at arm pits, backs of arms neck, chest. It all burns and itches. I am thinking it is a herx reaction but can't find it anywhere in any forums. My LLMD made me feel like I am quite a case of a person, that I just keep having issues with the treatments.

ANY HELP ANYONE?!?!?!

Summary:
Bactrim/Rifampin stopped working
Cipro <2days with bad reaction
A-bart(Byron White) 2 days-1 drop am/pm with BAD RASH
Is the rash Normal????

Sorry you're suffering from the a-bart. I've read others here say they had ER level herxes from it. My acupuncturist tried it and said it gave her heart palpitations that never went away. I had trouble with a-bab til I diluted it. Strong stuff. I've not seen too many testimonials about its efficacy, but it seems like "one person's poison is another's cure"
I tried the isaatis houttuynia alchornea combo, 1 lousy drop gave me hell. Sometimes it seems like the cure is worse than the disease.

Hi kg_countrygirl!-

I personally never tried A-Bart. But I have used A-BAB and other Byron White herbs in the past. After reading your post I thought that you might be having some sort of allergic reaction. But you mentioned you stopped the A-Bart several days ago. So it would seem unlikely to be an allergic reaction.

Maybe try a binder like activated charcoal? This might help to bind to the toxin overload. Please remember to take the charcoal 2 to 3 hours away from other meds.

I eat super clean and hope to help my body that way..... my LLMD doesn't advocate for detox methods either. I have done dry brushing which has always seemed to work well for me, along with my exercise and sweating it out and a high water intake. Unfortunately now my skin is in such a state of fire that I would probably rub myself raw. Nothing oral or topical cuts through the discomfort. I'm just hoping it calms down soon. I have also done the coffee enema's but not routinely.

I'm guessing the cipro herx reaction just opened a whole world of chaos in my body. I need to do more research on detox methods.

I am so sorry that you are dealing with thes horrible rashes. I have read of other people suffering from Bartonella rashes.

You might want to try clicking on the "Search" bar above and type something like "natural remedies for Bartonella rash Lyme ". Make sure you use the word Lyme in your search. This will bring up previous post from the Lyme community.
