Which insect infected you?
Was it ticks, mosquitoes, horse flies, lice, bed bugs, etc.... ?

In my case it was most likely a horse fly.

Oh God, looking at pictures gives me the crawlies.

I'm obviously mindful of them, but a part of me definitely tries to repress my knowing of their existence.

I'm running away now.

Lyme from ticks.
Bartonella from fleas.
Babesia from fleas.

Most likely....but it's hard to be completely sure.

Never saw a tick or a bite when I got symptoms out of the blue.

I think I got Bart from a cat bite or flea bites and was perhaps keeping it at bay until I got Lyme and it overwhelmed my immune system

2 deer tick bites(ignored and not diagnosed by GP) and possibly chigger bites(mites). Even though they say you cant get it from mites, I'm not so sure.

A year before those bites I did step into some nasty fire ants in Texas....not sure about that either.

I don't trust any creepy crawlies anymore.

I'm pretty sure it was a tick. Probably a deer tick. I think I had babesia and bartonella already and the lyme just made it really worse.

Ticks and fleas, I also had cat scratches for good measure.

I have wondered how people keep tract of bug bites (city dweller in the desert (no bugs?). ?

Many people living in green wooded lakes areas have all the bugs mentioned X 1000 power. ha ha...

Bugs are part of my life from April to November for over 50 years. Bugs aren't optional- unless your on concrete during a breezy, sunny, unusual hot day with no rain in the last two weeks. Lack of them is the only good thing about winter freeze.

After becoming systematically infected with years of mold exposure all sorts of insects took an interest in me. I must have looked like a walking buffet. A beetle flew into my ear with precision. Luckily I moved it to the light right away to draw him out.

Mosquito or fly bite is my guess as these happened frequently at the time. Ticks cant handle the amount of sun out here so they are rare to none. Got plenty of tick bites in the North East as a kid but seemed to handle them fine at the time.

Of course a tick infection may have stayed latent until prolonged massive mold inhalation.

I did have these things that looked like bed bug bites as there appeared in lines of 3 but I dont think we ever had any bed bugs. These marks are currently attributed to Bartonella but so are every symptom not related to another coinfection.

The mold caused a tiny EM like rash that was flat and had a dot in the middle. I would have thought it a bug bite as it eventually started to itch but I had found a chart online of bites to compare it against and this chart had an example of a mold rash also. It was an exact visual match. It took about 10 days to clear. My son had one also.

Red fire ant bite (age 4) is suspected source of Lyme for me.

Grew up with cats, got lots of scratches, hence the likely source of Bart. for me.

Been bitten by plenty of mosquitos, also, and a horse fly once, and a few spider bites (with some interesting reactions to all of them). Edited to add: Also bitten by fleas numerous times...

Exposed to tons of mold as a child and again after moving to a high mold area (didn't realize it at the time) but didn't know how devastating it would be for my health until a few years ago.

Don't know what all coinfections I have, though I only ever tested positive for Lyme (IGeneX, Mayo) & not to any of the coinfections (Fry Labs).

My bad tick bite was either a dog tick or a lone star tick. CDC claims you can’t get infected from those. Thanks to that BS i waited 2 years to seek medical care.

Ticks as kid but lice gave me headaches. ...skeeters have it now i wonder how many i have infected as a carrier just being in proximity

Also, i grew up in Connecticut and spent my whole childhood in the woods. I've been bitten by 3 deer ticks (that i know of), and thousands of mosquitoes and horse flies. We also had cats with fleas for good measure

hmmm..maybe me too. Never saw a tick...or evidence of a bite.

But I did test positive for lyme via igenex...so...

I never saw a tick or a bite and didn't have a rash when I got Lyme back in 2010, but luckily my doctor knew to test me from my symptoms and I tested positive. I assume it was a tick when I was laying in the grass 4th of July but mosquitos love me so who knows. I was bit by a tick last year that I believe flared it back up worse than usual.
