Someone posted about this not too long ago. I remember reading it and several people had it. Maybe you can look it up?

Noises in the head and ears is a common Lyme-co-infection symptom.....They come in many forms. I have had ear ringing, buzzing, swishing, clicking and probably more. Mostly they leave with treatment. Some times they come back for a short time.

I can remember before I began treatmnet 2 1/2 years ago while riding in a car I would get strong vibrating whirling sounds in my head like I could feel the tires rolling on the road..........Lyme and it's buddies do strange things to us. Aside from hearing voices I wouldn't be surprised at any sound one might hear while suffering from this demon.

That happens to me also with sounds. I hear something in my home and I'm looking in the direction I think it's coming from but it came from the totally oposite side of my home. It's very weird and just started happening a few months ago.

Haven't seen anything on here in a very long time re: Lyme and noises in your head. I've had Lyme etc since 2001. Back then 3-4 weeks on Doxycycline was the "cure". Now we know so much more. Drugs just arrest the Lyme and co-infections. .... like knocking them down and we think they're dead. Then we become complacent and that's when they rear their ugly heads. The noise in your head is real. Mine started in 2009 and was more of a swishing sound in my ears. I went to an ENT thinking I might have picked up something swimming at the health club. He laughed at me and told me it was "in my head". The noises got worse and it progressed to everything mentioned in the above posts and more. Mostly it sounds like a motor (far away) running inside my head. Things that make it worse: SUGAR, caffeine/chocolate, gluten and dairy. Clean eating like lots of steamed vegetables makes it better. The drugs are a smokescreen. They make you feel better initially but everything and more comes back with a vengeance weeks or months later. I started an all natural treatment 21 months ago. 3 phases: 1. acute...arrest symptoms, 2. months of herbal and homeopathic remedies to weaken the parasites, 3. break through the biofilm and elimination using enzymes and detoxification with infrared saunas, epsom salt baths and glutathione. The longer you have been sick the longer it will take to rid yourself of this ugly disease. Keep trying. Never give up. Rely on yourself NOT on your doctor. ... most of them are uneducated when it comes to Lyme. My treatment has taken longer because I moved across country in the Fall and the added stress didn't help. My 20 year old son and I both took the DNA connexions urine test for lyme. My son has been dealing with many lyme symptoms and the urine test for him came back with 5 co-infections. My test came back negative. However I have a many symptoms as well. Back in January I developed Pulsatile tinnitus (I had no idea it was called that at the time). It has been steady since then and is very debilitating. I recently came across a website of a doctor in NY city that pioneered a simple procedure to alleviate the Pulsatile tinnitus. You have many veins in your brain and if any of these narrow down it can cause the whooshing, ringing buzzing (like cicadas) sounds which is exactly what is going on in my head. I got an appointment and we recently travelled to NY city and I had an MRV done (which is a close study of the veins in your head) and an appointment with the doctor. I was very disappointed to find out that everything was normal. That seems a little strange but the hope that he could fix my problem with a simple procedure was suddenly dashed. I am very positive I have Lyme, even though the test was inconclusive. In my discussion with people and reading online, even though your test shows negative, if you have the symptoms of lyme, you most likely have it and should start treatment based on symptoms. The best way I can describe what I hear in my head is a whole chorus of cicadas singing and then a high pitched ring added in and then everything pulses with my heart beat. Sometimes it quiets down but other times its extremely loud and can really mess with my emotions. Lately it seems like it's picking up in intensity and the times of quieting down seem further an further apart with is concerning. I have read that lyme can cause ringing of the ears and in this forum It seems at least one or more of you who have had or still have lyme, have experienced some of the same things I am describing. I'm searching for answers and this forum has given me hope that if I start treatment for lyme, it may take care of this life changing issue I have been dealing with. I would appreciate any input you can give me. I am traveling to a doctor in Washington DC who is at the forefront in the fight against lyme and I pray that they will be able to help me.
