I have grown up to have a very high in sugar diet. I am trying to adjust my diet to minimize sugar and carbohydrates as much as possible. as a 24 year old I deal with chronic pain and chronic fatigue and know the downsides of sugar in lyme disease. I typically drink a lot of tea with stevia and sometimes eat fruit but towards around night (each night like clockwork) I find myself going CRAZY for carbs and sugar. Just now I ate so well today with mostly protein in my foods and stevia and just finished the night with a HUGE carb-loaded waffle with peanut butter and syrup on top. I just get so restless at night without sugar and carbs.
Does anyone know how to lower it in a manageable way? I feel like I'm literally addicted to sugar, I'm craving it ALL DAY.

I picked up an advice from this forum a while ago, so when the sugar craving kicks in, confront it with lemon. Maybe lemon in hot water or lemon mixed with kefir or something else...I have started to use it and it does combat the sugar need quite well...
although I admit Sandyfeets alternatives sound rather tastier...
