Herxing after each pill..

Does anyone herx every time you take a pill?

I’m on doxycycline 200mg a day and it gave me really bad herx from the first dose.
Now my ND reduced to 100mg aday after 3 days of break
I’m detoxing constantly...

I have a lot of allergies with lyme so I start everything with small doses. An almost immediate reaction like you have within a few hours of taking it would be in my book an allergic reaction.
The link I placed above doesn't say much but neuralgia is a known side effect of doxycycline. There are alternatives both medical and natural remediies.
Talk to your doctor or try some of the herbal solutions they often work better with people who are getting sensitive to meds.

I thought it was an allergic reaction too. But they are my old symptoms..so it could be herx.
I felt so much better before treatment and it is vert discouraging
I was expecting herx reaction but not after two hours and every single time..
What are other choices of antibiotics that I can try instead of doxycycline?

I would herx soon after taking every dose of abx when I started treatment. Sometimes 1/2 hr after. I would always wonder if it was an allergic reaction but it was my normal symptoms and over time it calmed down but it can still happen within a couple of hours at times. It can happen to me when I start something new, like herbs and Monolaurin. If it were an allergic reaction I wouldn’t be able to take anything because it’s happened with literally everything I take and have taken in the past.

A half hour is really quick. I wouldn’t think it would have been broken down in your stomach and in the bloodstream that quick..that’s interesting.

It is quick! I read that it takes about 20 minutes to enter the bloodstream but my LLMD says it’s still unusual. I take abx 20 minutes before meals and when it was really bad in the beginning I would have to stop eating and wait for it to pass. The air hunger herxes were the worst and I really did think I was having an allergic reaction but it would pass and then eventually lessened over time and now they don’t happen at all that fast.
