I just had bloodwork come back positive for lyme. I need help finding a LLMD in Austin, Texas

I am having alot of trouble finding a Dr. in Austin who is familiar with lyme treatment. can anyone help me out?

Thanks! Any and all help is very appreciated. I didn't have a rash but got very sick 3 weeks ago. I then got uveitis in my right eye (basically blind) and my optometrist had me get a bunch of bloodwork. Said I was chock full of lyme. I just found out today and any information, especially in the Austin area would be a huge help.

I emailed you - one option for Austin and a couple others in other cities.

So you had a positive lyme test? You should get a copy of the results since you don't have a rash or a known tick bite.

Maybe your Dr. will give you some weeks of doxycycline? 200 mg twice daily.
This will get you to your LLMD appt. As it could take several weeks before the LLMD has an opening.

Those are the lyme treatment guidelines - scroll down to page 18 for the antibiotics - you will find doxy listed as 200 mg twice daily minimum.

You can even print that page off for your Dr.
