Reliable alcholic free tincture source?

Hey is there a reliable company that uses a alcholic free solution in their herbal tinctures that you'd recommend? I know a few companies, but how many of them are trusted to deliver quality herbs?

Btw are the dosages for Stephen buhner's protocols meant for a general body type? Like if your kind of big, 6'3 220, does it make sense to have the thought of needing more than the recommended? I heard bigger people need more and that kind of goes for everything.

I don’t know of any on Buhners recommended list of sources, but there is one company that a forum member did use to treat Lyme and co’s.

Hi KYLE,

I don't know what your definition is of "reliable" but my definition of reliable is that they are tested, grown in the U.S. compared to manufacturing plants in China, India, etc. where the FDA rarely regulates those plants, etc. I have read many articles by reliable sources about these manufacturing plants that scare the heck out of me!

That said, this is why I had used Jernigan Neutraceuticals because the herbs are grown in Kansas and tested using bio-resonance scanning.

They offer tinctures based in apple cider vinegar (I didn't have that option when I was using their tinctures). Below are 2 websites and the 2nd website (iplanethealth) gives the ingredients in each tincture.

I just don't want to stimulate my adrenals. Are capsules a viable option if I got each recommended herb for Bart in capsule form?

Weight has nothing to do with Buhner dosage recommendations. He has in the 2nd edition Healing Lyme book that he has seen petite ladies need to take the full dose, and large weight lifting men need to take a small fraction and get better off of that.

Its best to just start low and slow and see how your body reacts.

Also, I recommend getting his book if you havent. The protocol you can find on the internet is no longer his full recommended protocol.

Yes - you can take the herbs in capsule form - Buhner has Green Dragon Botanicals on his list.

He only recommends one capsuled herb in his protocol though which is Japanese knotweed. How come he recommends tinctures over capsules do you know? Convenience?

In reading the book there is a blurb where he states that often times taking the whole herb in powdered or capsuled form is best because the interaction with stomach acid and the herb is different when it is in it's whole form vs tinctured. Tinctures are more convenient for most, but whole herbs may work best.

Taking a capsule is the equivalent of taking the whole herb.

you can make tea or take the herbs in bark form or standardized. so not only tinctures.

however if u do use tinctures, please use alcohol based tinctures. Alcohol has properties that help extract certain chemicals out of the plant, that you will not achieve with other surrogates.

for example, Stevia tested by E.Sapi against lyme bacteria, has no effect unless it is alcohol based extract
