Hi everyone this might sound goofy but did anyone ever hear of lyme causing abrasions over the eyes? Just went to eye Dr because felt like something was picking at my eye and by vision is blurry in the left eye as well...Dr said it was abrasion gave me eye drops etc..now my right eye feels like something is picking.

Bartonella is known to cause eye issues.

I had a smudgy like spotting in field of vision, a black curtain come down in field of vision, eye twitching all have gone away with treatment thankfully.

Im still a bit sensitive to when there is a sunny day and there are many shady spots across the road from trees when I am driving. That causes me some issues.

I didn't have the prickly sensation ,that must be aggravating I am so sorry.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lyme causes vision issues also.

Yes, lyme can cause eye/vision issues.


When I went to my eye appointment, I discussed with the Optometrist that I had lyme and wanted my eyes checked. She wasn't a lyme literate optometrist but she did know that lyme could cause eye issues.
She looked at the back of my eye to see the Optic nerve and check for any swelling. At the time I was concerned about intracranial hypertension affecting my eye.
I also had to do some tests...including the visual fields test.
