How quickly do your symptoms return?

I am interested to know how quickly your symptoms creep back in after stopping abx?

I am currently testing the waters myself and I have been off of abx for 29 days and so far so good. I will probably reintroduce this coming Monday, though.

How long will you be back on? M/w/f for a week?
Or three in a row?


Are you going to keep stretching it out ie next time go 35 days..,then 40 days..etc?

Yeah, I agree. That's why I think I may just continue this coming Monday.

Fronton,

If I am late taking a dose of any of my antibiotics/antiparasitics, my neuropathy starts to rage. The longest I have been able to go with a reduction in meds (I am paying for it now) was one week. During this week I felt the best that I have felt in five years. I am truly envious of anyone that can stop taking their meds and not have an immediate spike in symptoms.

They didn't.

Two years four months since last ABX. No flares or symptom increase since then.

Still slowly getting better, rebuilding muscles. Not everyone get back to 100%, time will tell.

i have itchy eyes but i treat with levocetirizine oral and eye drops with crhomolyn sodium. plus hi dose vitamin C . all these 3 help stabilize mast cells. it seems to be working as i have minimal symptoms left.

oh i still take 2 capsules of oil of oregano in the morning 55% carvacrol, so 2x181mg = 370 on empty stomach. yes i know i must stop after 2 weeks of this. plus i take some herbs like shiitake maiake capsules, monolaurin, ashwaganda, etc... i have some support treatment. in 3 days ill receive massive herb package from germany with all sorts of things. ill take these for 3-4 months and hope i do not relapse again.....

one week since end of antibiotics. this is all it took. i've got my brain fog back sad
not complete, but about 50% of what it used to be 9 months ago.

i have great confidence that in two weeks time it will be completely back plus i'll get all the rest of the symptoms

8 months of abx treatment, complete waste of time...

Waste of time? At least you know you got 'there' and can get 'there' again.

Did you not ease off the abx...ie pulse them every few weeks for a few days before completely stopping?

Well, I do not even feel good with antibiotics even though it has been 2 months and 20 days. All my symptoms are like day one. I have no idea how would I feel if I stop taking them. It is both good and bad(for myself) to know that abx. works for other people.

Hypatiac - it can take awhile.

For me nothing came quickly - my symptoms (close to 40) are ever so slowly leaving - I’ve been down to under 10 for a long time now.

my symptoms started to disappear after 2 months. but this is the 2nd time i tried antibiotics, first time i did i was very very sick and adding antibiotics did not change things in good at all.
