i managed to take 2/3 of a huge 250ml bottle of houttuynia 1:3 tincture from bistolbotanicals, i take 90 drops a day (30x3 drops).
i do not herx on it ... BUT... did u know it is a very effective MCAS treatment ?
/www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=4009921many lyme patients have a MCAS problem, so it's interesting that if u have some minor lingering symptoms after long term lyme abx treatment, you maybe can keep them at bay with something like this:
- H1/H2 blockers (levocetirizine, cetirizine, etc...) but the dosage is double than that for hay fever, allergy (so 5mgx2 levocetirizine or 10mgx2 cetirizine...)
- hi dose vitamin C
/bit.ly/2JgiU4v- sodium cromolyn - this is a textbook treatment for MCAS so i wont quote any articles
- houttuynia , yes, you guessed that. Even if u do not treat bart with it, it is very effective at calming down mast cells...
/www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/bpb/28/10/28_10_1864/_article/-char/ja//www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0278691509001732- isatis - another buhner bartonelal herb that calms down mast cells -
/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20347971so you could have been treating an aberrant allergy type immune response instead of bart all this time.... im not saying this is the reality, but isn't it at least.... interesting ?
MCAS symptoms are very similar with some of the PTLDS (post lyme treatment ones, i'd say actually POST long term lyme treatment... that means u took almost one year of antibiotics already and most serious symptoms are gone):
