Hello all, I have decided that I’m going to go to the Hansa Center!! Reading everyone else’s experiences on this forum (as well as a few others) has been monumentally helpful in helping me decide on which clinic I wanted to go to (thank you so much to all of you who have done so!) so I want to make sure that I do the same. I’m going to try my hardest to include important information while also trying not to include incessant details. 😅
I’m going for 3 weeks starting July 16th. I was previously seeing Dr. H in Hyde Park for the past 4-5 years. I have seen a few other Lyme specialists (one being Dr. C in Mount Kisco that couldn’t have been more of a waste of time, as well as a few other doctors, naturopaths and a local herbalist, etc etc.).
I have tried just about
every combination of oral antibiotics (as well as a bunch you’ve probably never even heard of), a bunch of herbal protocols, rife machine, intramuscular shots and probably a few other things I’m forgetting). Nothing has ever worked on me. I’ve just progressively gotten worse and worse over the years.
I’ve now been completely disabled with this disease for over 7 years. I’ve had to start using a wheelchair this past year and I’m only able to leave the house once every few months for short periods (although if I’m being honest, my life probably would have been a whole hell of a lot easier if I had started using a wheelchair years ago).
My biggest symptoms are severe chronic fatigue syndrome/debilitating fatigue. The other day I was trying on a few bathing suits I had ordered (you need one for the sauna for the Hansa center) and it completely wrecked me for the whole day. I had a severe crash after, just to give you an idea of my fatigue levels!
My next biggest symptom has always been brain fog and cognitive issues. However, since this past fall after starting a new protocol I developed a new symptom. Ironically (or perhaps not), it took me awhile to figure out what it was. I am delirious all day every day and it is severe. I have a general overall complete lack of awareness/what’s going on around me, as well as confusion. I’ve also had a pretty stark decline in cognitive function to the point where it’s noticeable to those around me. It literally feels like I’ve developed dementia while also just being constantly delirious. (As a side note, I started taking the Jerginan Neuro-Antitox II CNS/PNS drops and Borrelogen last week and think it might be helping as I was able to write this post, so woot!).
I also have fibromyalgia/muscle pain & weakness as well as mental fatigue. I have dozens of other symptoms as well (as I’m sure most of us do), but I wanted my post to be somewhat concise! Haha
Please let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else I should add! I will try my hardest to keep you all updated.
