Does anyone else suffer from diffused parathesia as a direct result of suffering from Lyme. After getting Lyme I have neuropathic pain, mostly burning sensations and pins and needles whenever I take most medications.

I do suffer with the neuropathic pain - mostly burning type pain - thoracic area of back, left arm and hand.

Mine started before I went on antibiotics to treat the infections though.

I've been able to get rid of the majority of my symptoms but had plateaued after 2 years of treatment...and at 3 1/2 years in, I've switched Lyme Dr.'s. hoping this will get me to the finish line.
Unfortunately the nerve pain is one of the symptoms that is hanging on.

Have you tried Gabapentin or Lyrica for your nerve symptoms? Many people do get relief using them.

Are you currently treating with a LLMD?

My neuropathy has been probably my most lingering symptom. Started with extreme itching in upper arms and burning in forearms. I now started with burning in my buttocks and trying to figure out if sciatica or another neuropathy. I currently take 1800 mg of gralise (a time release neurotin) daily and also cymbalta. I believe for some of us the lyme attacks our nervous system worse than others. Two years ago, I suffered an attack of trigeminal neuralgia and was hospitalized for that and now also prescribed baclofen for that.
