Has anyone had any luck with Jernigan’s neuro anti tox 2 cns pns helping with severe visual disturbances such as terrible afterimages light sensitivity flashing lights seeing bursts of light blue black and white and so very much more. Along with severe eye pain and all this continually getting worse. Even my llmd doesn’t really know what to do about this progressing so badly. Thank you so much for any advice

Sorry you're experiencing those visual disturbances.

I haven't had any luck with Jernigan's anti-tox II for any of my symptoms.

I stopped taking it after awhile (I can't remember - I think it was 3-4 weeks)

I would think treating whichever infection is causing the eye issues would be the answer.

Have you treated bartonella and/or babesia? or just lyme so far?

My doctor started off treating babesia but have only got worse. Suppose to start iv antibiotics tomorrow. Praying with everything in me for a great improvement very very soon. My vision and eyes have got so much worse it’s unbearble.

I have no idea at this point. My llmd won’t talk to me over the phone just through email. I’m beyond desperate

Next time you see him - bring it up...and find out what the plan is.

What IV abx are you going on...and are you taking oral with it?

Often when I was hitting babesia or herxing strongly my visual symptoms (along with many others) would get much worse. Are you taking a lot of antimicrobials right now? if so may want to consider dosing down a bit or taking a break to see if that eases up the symptoms? just a suggestion, I'd talk to your doctor about it if it is something you want to try.

Rochepin iv and I emailed to see if I need to stop my oral. So hard being so far away there’s not one even close to me besides him

I have stopped everything at the time because I could definitely tell I wasn’t having improvement

How long have you been off everything? If you've been experiencing a herx it can generally take days to a week+ to get back to baseline. I'm not saying it's definitely due to herxing, but either way I hope you can find things that help contain the symptoms.

about a week now. My llmd don’t even know what to do about the eye pain and visual disturbances. Beyond scared to death because it was indeterminate but he considered it positive.

for me it went away with bvt and treating toxo and bart ...i can drive at nite again! i mean searing rip your eyeball socket from behind kinda pain! and lots of missing cones and rods like psych sx

I think some antibiotics and anti-malarials can cause increased pressures behind your eyes, which might be making your symptoms worse.

Healing Lyme by Stephen Buhner recommends stephania tetandra to help eye symptoms. I'm taking it, but I never had many eye symptoms, so I can't really tell if it works or not.

Can you use the capsule form of Stephania root or is the stephania tetandra better?

My eyesight was quickly eroded to terrible last year. I was seeing what I can describe as squigling/ pulsing shapes in one of my eyes. Blurry vision. I could not read a combination lock at all, but now I can again.

I don't know if this will help but when I was doing MAH and ten pass ozone everyone I met who was doing the same had their vision get better

I'm sure the capsule form of stephania is fine . . .It just has to be either stephania tetandra or stephania cepharatha.

You actually do want the root form . . That's what Buhner's book says. Stephania tetandra and stephania cepharatha are just two species of stephania. The book says those two species are the best.
