So my doc is a believer in minimizing stress and making sure patients get sleep. I mentioned this in other thread, but when I was in that hell storm of symptoms I couldn't take anything to treat I was soooo sensitive, it would ratchet my already unbearable pain even higher... so the first step was trying to stabilize my body. Hence doc put me on gabapentin and wanted to put me on cymbalta (can help for neuropathy) but I was already on lexapro so I didn't do that. I know that might not be options for you if you don't have access to a doc willing to script
those meds or if you just don't feel comfortable taking them. But I'd look into it at least, it could help get your symptoms under control.
The other thing is exploring sleep aids (I imagine you already have). There's the general stuff, melatonin, herbal things, and even things like anti-anxiety (lorazapem, etc) can help for that... I think Horowitz has written about
some of his strategies to help his patients get sleep, might be worth researching? if you'd like I can try and look it up in his books to see what he recommends.
Could also look at some of the Buhner herbs, they can help with immune system modulation and that could be a potential angle that could help in your case? then could segway into some of the antimicrobial herbs as well?
Just throwing thoughts out there! Keep hanging in there!
