Hi all. I just got my labcorps test for electrolytes back. The one thing that was high was the A/G ratio, which was 2.7 against a scale of 1.2 – 2.2. My albumin was dead center in the middle of the normal range at 4.6. My globulin was at the bottom of the normal range, 1.7 on a scale of 1.5 – 4.5.
http://ic.steadyhealth.com/low-globulin-facts states that globulin is antibodies. I'm not really surprised that globulin is at the bottom of acceptable because my CD57 was also at the bottom of acceptable. It looks like Lyme disease has my immune system still ratcheted down to barely above functional.
My question is this: have any of you been able to do anything to raise your globulin levels? If so, what?
Many thanks! Aylett
Aylett- you discovered something that is often missed. I missed this in 2017, but didnt know the Globulin link. And my Drs ignored it. Now I know how all of this is tied together. Globulin are proteins for the B "marker" cells and can be broken down into the different immunoglobulins....Igg, Igm, Iga ect. CD57 measures T and NK cells, which need B cells to work effectively. Im also low in all of these, and high in the ratio (like you).
