Bartonella- 8 week herx cycles?

I've been noticing that i have very intense, what seems like Bartonella, herxes every 8 weeks. And yes I mean 8 weeks, not 4 weeks/a month. I started noticing it around my period because my symptoms would get so bad one period then barely nonexistent next period then back to being bad the one after that.
I am having a terrible week so far. EXTREME sound sensitivity paired with difficulty falling and staying asleep. This sounds bad, right? Well it's even worse when I tell you I'm in a college dorm in Rutgers University and i'm on the "party" campus, where apparently going out and then coming back making noise at 2am on a freaking Tuesday night is completely normal.
Anyhoo, this week I also had a completely new symptom which was intense back/spinal pain. It started at my neck and then suddenly my entire spine felt like someone beat me with a chair. It lasted for 2 days.

But what I don't get is people keep saying that Bart has a few day cycle, or even 12-36hour cycle. So why is it that every 8 weeks I get a herx? Yes, in a way its gotten less and less but it seems like very SLOW healing process if every 2 months i'm still getting heroes when the other 6-7 weeks I feel okay(but not symptom free).

If it doesn't sound like Bartonella, what are other possible causes for this?

Also what can I take to help me lose my sound sensitivity and get to sleep? My regular doctor prescribed me a generic form of Paxil but my mom doesn't want me taking it because of potential side effects.

No, not yet mainly because one of the symptoms along with noise sensitivity is that my inner ear actually hurts! Sorry i forgot to say that in the original post. But yeah, it's like from my eardrum to my lower jaw feels inflamed. Yesterday I couldn't eat on one side of my mouth because of the pain.

So its not just noise sensitivity, it is also actual pain with or without noise.

Afiya, i also have an 8 week cycle. it seems to happen or begin on the NEW moon (not full moon).
Been happening for almost 10 years. it slowly effects my memory, little by little as it grows or increases.
always right at the end of the cycle, i will start to feel a little better and think i turned the corner on this whole thing and then it starts all over againg. the memory loss is very apparent as it happens. then follows is confusion, anxiety, headaches, (i am always trying to figure it out, hours and hours) followed by the quiet period again. I have tested igenix fish test for bart and babs always come up neg. i did test for "other" strains of borrelia with igenex, like miyamoti, hermsii, TBRF and that test came up pos. but i dont know which. the igenex doesnt specify. oh yeah when it started i remember night time shaking chills and night sweats. i thought it was babs. i will do another igenex test i think wth other modalitys of the test.
