DonN,
The last half of your story sounds similar to mine. My initial onset of life altering symptoms started suddenly at age 39.
I missed a lot of work the first 2 weeks but improved on my own over a few months, but I was never "normal" again after that. New symptoms popped up as the years went by, but I was still working and functional. I had no known tick bite, so doctors had no idea what was happening to me.
In 2015 at age 45, I got bronchitis. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I spiraled downward quickly into a pit and have never gotten out of the pit. Some symptoms have improved while in the pit, but I have worse fatigue, muscle fatigue, and loss of endurance. Hard to climb upward with that.
It makes me furious that my body is weakened like that. I need to be able to do a lot more physical labor. My dad died last month, so now it's me and my 81 year old mom. We're trying to find a non-moldy house to buy (trying to find a needle in a haystack). I need to be able to do work cleaning and maintaining the house when we get it.
