Hi MrsDave, welcome to your forum. Your post remind me of mine when I first joined. I also did the symptom list and of the 52 symptoms I had 50 of them. The only two that I didn't have were heavy menstrual cycles and lactating breasts (I am a male).
Let's see: Hypothyroid...you need to go gluten free. Gluten entices your immune system to attack your thyroid making you symptomatic for hashimotos (Hypothryroid)
Cortisone is bad for you. Use it only when absolutely necessary.
Lyme antibody positive...Yup you are in the right place, unfortunately. Need to treat Lyme soon.
Yes, joint pains and even osteoporosis have been identified with Lyme.
As for not having anyone to talk to; well, you just joined a humongous family that understands you and knows exactly what you are going through so that is no longer the case. We'll be here for you to listen, to counsel you, to provide moral support and to try to guide you as much as we can.
If you are unfamiliar with Lyme, we have made a post with some very useful information at the top of this forum. It is overwhelming, so read it slowly and use it as reference as you heal from Lyme. Some of the stuff will seem foreign to you but eventually you will get to understand it and use it as reference.
We may not be able to reply right away to you, but we can usually do it within a few hours. We are all going through this and well, sometimes we need to take a break ourselves. So if you don't get a response right away, don't despair. We'll respond as soon as we can.
As for finding a Lyme doctor in your area; start a new post with the subject line "need a lyme doctor in xxxx city" and someone here will email you with a list. Make sure to enable your email so they can email you.
Good luck and hope to hear from you soon
