i just took 375 mg amox about 1 hour later i got many vibrating muscle twitching only last for a few sec both in my head and legs feels funny can abx really do that so fast?

I don't know for sure.

The herxheimer means the antibiotics have killed enough bacteria, that the endotoxins flood your system producing inflammation....resulting in symptoms increase.

It seems very quick...BUT, we do have members reporting an increase in symptoms within an hour.

i believe it it difficult to reach bactericidal level of many medications/ herbs and under dosing may cause pathogens to retreat further into tissues like bone and nerves and places with less blood flow ...working theory only tho. it happened on a large scale to me i believe. iv magnesium , pk protocol and bvt got rid of the shakes for me...

I say it is possible. I can feel the herbs in my brain 15 minutes after I take them. I can also feel the abx begin to affect me within a half hour, such as the dizzyness, the ear ringing, the heart palpitations, etc.

Do you think it's possible they are side effects of the herbs and meds? not necessarily a result of killing, and toxins causing inflammation, and increase in symptoms?

i have thought about the same maybe its becouse i am affraid what happend when i start abx and then i take to low dose and feel much more sick today i feel very bad in my head i only took 375 mg amox and 100 mg flagyl but feel very bad and other times i feel better with a low dose this morning i took 375 mg again and suddenly maybe an hour after i got very dizzy and increase tinnitus for about 5 min then it when away again but omg i feel bad.
one time i took 1800 mg amox for 5 days first time i tryed more and after 5 days i got very very dizzy thought i going to faint but after about 45 min i felt much better rest of the day so maybe i have to increase?

When I was on the amoxicillin, I took 1000 mg 3X daily. I didn't find it to be too bad.
So far, it's been the easiest to tolerate for me.


but, we're all different...maybe you will need to switch if you're reacting on the low dose?

Have you discussed this with your Dr.?

the problem is i can tolerate amox better then doxy when i took doxy for 12 days 200 mg every dag i got so sick we thought i gonna die i lay on the floor for 5 days my head was shutting down all the time and when i trying to stand i got hearing loos faint and very high tinnitus that was scary so no more doxysmile

I believe it's very possible to herx that fast. There are plenty of times when I take my herbs that I can feel herxing in only 15 minutes or less.

Just like Healing98 mentioned I can also sense herbs working in my head/brain merely minutes after taking something. But then again my body is very sensitive which also helps me determine what herbs and meds are working. Which is something I'm grateful for because most people have no idea what is working for them.

But yeah all of us are different and some people might take a medication / herb and not experience any changes but for another person that same med / herb might rock their world.

update my 4th day of low dose abx 1500 mg amox my brain are terrible burning get worse when talking but better moments in between i dont feel so sick and my afternoon fattigue are much better the last 2 days so i am allmost beliving now that it is an infection i know suddenly i can feel worse but overall it has been better except the brain is it normal to feel worse in head most of my symptoms are in brain and cardiovascular and dizzyness

Yes, that is normal, especially if you've had a lot of head symptoms it makes sense that the medication is flaring those symptoms (likely hitting pathogens in that area). At this point my two worst symptoms are chronic headaches and fatigue, both get amplified when I take effective meds (currently this involves minocycline which has good CNS penetration).

Also I tend to have a very fast response to antimicrobials, usually within an hour. I don't know why it's that fast, my guess is my body has trouble detoxing and symptoms ramp up quickly whenever any pathogens get killed in my system.

Btw, it's a great sign though that you are seeing some improvement.
