Testing via Microscopy

Has anyone had good experiences with microscopy? I tested via DNA Connexions and came back negative today. I will be doing WB IgG & IgM through Igenex next tuesday but does anyone here recommend trying microscopy? If so, is there a more recommended lab for it? I don't find much about Microscope dx'ing online.

Direct test through Fry seems interesting.. Any thoughts?

see microscopy thread on lymenet flash ...there was a link to darkfield practioners...md s got rid of the scopes in their office to use 1 of two mandatory labs ...so no body without a license can diagnose anything legally ...so they are underground or you can learn to do it yourself easily and for a small investment, check your progress, use giemsa for bart and babs id ...etc

fry is pretty fixated on his protofl1953 bug?cost? ...one university across seas that a local doc uses, only ids them as pleomorphic bacteria

Eek, good to know! Found the threat, reading now. Thanks! I guess if IGX doesn't come back positive, it may be worth buying a microscope.

Oh so no-go on Fry then I guess? I simply found them when I googled microscopy detecting Lyme. Didn't know if they came acclaimed

don't take my word on fryguy but i think a couple of our members may see or have seen him as a practitioners.u can ask them ...
..i wonder what it would take to start a accredited ,direct fluorescence id -3 week borrelia culture lab.?

often rbcs have to be left out or crushed to see spirochetes inside...

Yeah I'll see what others have to say and appreciate your input. I'd rather just go with Igx and hope for a positive test seeing as I'm not positive for the million other things I've tested for. Didn't even know he was a Lyme doc until you mentioned it. Thought it was just another Lyme dedicated lab like Igenex.

I'll have to read more about it before I know anything about anything on that subject! lol But doesn't seem terribly difficult to conduct a DIY microscopy after reading some of the thread. Culture is probably even easier eh?

one would need incubators and bsk medium but dudefromks was doing at home...keep us posted
