astroman,
CIRS is a well defined illness with lab biomarkers that are used for both diagnosis and treatment monitoring. The Shoemaker protocol is a defined protocol that must be followed in specific sequence. If followed partially or out of sequence, it is not likely to be as effective and will waste time and money.
NO, it is NOT JUST MOLD. But it often is mold and Lyme combined.
CIRS is not a clinical diagnosis. It must be diagnosed with set lab testing.
If you are going to look into this for yourself, I would strongly advise you to see a Shoemaker certified practitioner. Don't waste your time or money on people trying to do it their way.
www.survivingmold.com is Shoemaker's website. Not very user friendly.
The only other site besides Shoemaker certified physicians' sites that I feel is an accurate reflection of Shoemaker's work is
biotoxinjourney.com
