Fingers crossed that it works for you Girlie!!
That would truely be wonderful.
How long is your protocol on it?
I think I'll only get 3 months off work at most to try it. Not sure if that's long enough, or if it will do damage by doing it for such a short amount of time. Might give the spirochetes an opportunity to get used to the new drug and become resistant.
Well, my next appt is in December...so that will be 4 cycles I think. He had said November - which would have been 3 cycles (each cycle is 4 weeks) but when I left his office and talked to the scheduler...she said he was booked for November...so she booked me for December.
BUT - that doesn't mean the protocol will change then (December) - I'm not sure how long he usually keeps patients on it.
I think in 3 months you'll get an idea if it's working or not....and if it is...then maybe you will have some relief of symptoms and be able to work and continue treating?
I am really hoping I can go back to work after summer. My employer called me a few months ago - I think it was in beginning of May asking if I still intended to come back to work there...and I said 'yes'. Then she asked if I had an idea - an estimate of when.
I said 5-6 months. (just to give her a number)
