The first positive test was IgG mycoplasma (past infection)March 2015, then Babesia May 2015, but when a babesia PCR came back negative the MD's said that she did not have babesia.
I advocated for retesting, asking "what if the PCR is a false negative", but my voice was not heard. Also, the Western blot came back negative according to IDSA And CDC guidelines. I had wanted to consult a naarby ND known for treating Lyme, but since my husband is conservative, he only believes in MDs and scientifically proven research and beacuse my daughter was so extremely sick with fever, temperature disregulation, body aches, a feeling of increased gravity, extreme fatigue and weakness, etc., I felt I needed to pursue all western medicine options prior to consulting the ND.
A few month later, in August, the Bartonella set in and was diagnosed, a definite sign post to pursue the possibility of Lyme disease. Sept. 30, 2015 she had her appt with the ND and was clinically diagnosed.
She did have iGenex testing following the appt and just a few weeks ago had the DNA Connexions test, we are awaiting reuslts.
It is a complex situation with SNPs, food sensitivity, intolerance of many antibiotics and medicines, low cortisol, low neurotransmitters, leaky gut, candida, and we are awaiting clostrium lab results.
