Ok so I saw something on Facebook where keurig machines carry a crap ton of mold and bacteria.... sooo I told my husband to take our keurig, go outside, and smash it open! (He looked at me like I had 3 heads but he said ok lol)

Oh..my..god...can we say MOLD!! So disgusting!! Mold in the tubes, stuff was rusted, etc... I wanna throw up!! I don’t drink coffee often anymore but Jesus before lyme I drank it daily!!!

I ordered a French press from amazon and I’m gonna use that from now on... but I’m really grossed out!

i'm not a coffee drinker....but I'll keep that in mind if I start drinking it...

I would have never even thought that mold would be growing in it... just makes me super sick to my stomach. My husband went right on amazon and ordered me a French press. At least with that I can see exactly what’s Happening.

This has been on my mind too! I’ve had the same keurig for 5+ years. I think it’s time for me to ditch it. So what french press did you get?

I got rid of my Keurig a few years ago, for just this reason. It's really gross! I now have a Chemex and LOVE it!

I clean mine with pure vinegar but in all honesty I rarely use it. But now I’m actually thinking of dumping it. Even if we clean it I’m unsure it’ll stay clean.

Update: took a few swabs just to the water connector where the reservoir goes and found mold. I considered mine clean. I’m dumping it. Thank you for posting!

I bought a French press from amazon..any one will do. They are glass and u can wash all the pieces! No more machine...it’s no wonder why everyone is falling sick ugh.

We gotta look out for each other.... even tho I don’t personally know u, I care 😁

What's disgusting about the Keurig is the gross waste of plastic and the likely particles you get when you run hot water through it. French presses work just fine smile

The good news is that you thought of the issue and checked the machine. These things can be such puzzles, always good to find one new aspect that can potentially help.

French presses imo make good coffee too smile

Yep I’m super excited to get it tomorrow in the mail lol!! Although I’ll be at jury duty all day, I’ll look forward to coming home and making a nice decaf French press coffee lol
