Best way to find out what pathogen(s) I might still have?

Excellent, please do make sure I see your report if you remember smile I will try to keep an eye out but I am super interested. I'm like you. Don't care about DNA connexions. Basically gave up on all Lyme specialty tests. I just don't know if I can trust them. But out of 37,000 pathogens they manage to pull one that can actually explain my symptoms I will be impressed. I agree though... it's going to suck going off meds and relapsing. I get the worse vascular problems so I know they are in my blood then lol. But it aint fun and someones going to have to drive me to the blood draw lol.

I thought the person I spoke with said to do all 3 samples for lyme. I’m skeptical of all lyme tests anymore. Look forward to hearing how you make out.

you don't need to do all the tests maybe they were just trying to sell you more.

if one wanted to do this ideally you would probably try plasma, urine and fecal matter and do 3-5 tests each to ensure you had the best chance to catch the pathogens.

doing one test like me is akin to having one arrow in the quiver. and expensive arrow for sure but will give it a shot.

i just can't help myself when i hear that they can identify up to 37,000 pathogens in the blood by sequencing the DNA directly.

Nobody is doing that anywhere so i'm willing to put my money where my mouth is even if i only got that one arrow to kill Smaug flying around Laketown ;o)

Ok I was the guinea pig on this test. I only did the plasma test. I was only off killing meds for a week and did not do any extra exercise before the draw. My results came back and they are 5 pages long. I have an appt with my doctor on the 10th but he called this morning to say the test found high levels of microbes, no parasites, and two fungi.

They eliminate the healthy bacteria and standard bacteria that we all have in our bodies from the results. The test did not find Lyme or any of it's co's which I have tested positive for in the past. That's not alarming. I've treated those for years. I took the test to see why I'm still sick. One of the fungi is very toxic. It's the belief of the scientist that these are leaking into my bloodstream from my lungs.

It will be interesting to see how my treatment changes. I'll update as things move along.

I remember this Dr in Phoenix I saw for a while became convinced (thru his research) that a lot of his patients who had CFS like health issues were dealing with some type of fungal infections. One he kept bringing up to me was Funneliformis mosseae. Maybe this general idea is correct for some patients, I think like always there is high variability in these cases.

And chicken or the egg, maybe lyme/coinfections explodes various other pathogens in the system, so they might just be opportunistic players that continue thriving even after tick-borne infections are taken care of. And therefore must be directly addressed as well?

My doctor believes that the lyme/coinfections caused our immune systems to be compromised which allowed these other issues to occur which is keeping us sick.

I think hes talking about frybug fl1953 funnilformis was a protozoa/fungi .?..probably a mutated babs or toxo idk i mean even lyme endotoxins have a fungal component .

I’ve been thinking of doing this test for awhile. Spoken to them twice. I’m seeing a chiro who does electrodermal scan and I came back with dental materials, fungus and low level parasites. No virus or bacteria coming up yet. Going to change out a crown to see if it helps. May do this test urine & blood in new year if still sick. I’m adding urine bc I have IC symptoms.

Interesting. What's the name of the fungi?
I have a "supposedly" rare yeast.

I couldn't write everything down during the phone call but I'm pretty sure it's alternaria alternata. It's not rare. It's just not supposed to be in our bloodstreams. I've decided to put the report away. I googled the first few bacteria. Not a good idea and here I was worried about justifying spending the $1000.00 Yikes.

Did you have mold exposure or exposure to water damaged buildings? Alternaria is found in water damaged buildings.
