thanks very much for your kind response!
I was able to treat the babesia two yrs ago but only by going to the hansa ctr and I cant afford it again.
I am seeing a new llmd this week who is supposed to be very experienced so I will see what she suggests.
My main symptom is band f tightness around my ribs. It is weird as it has been bothering me for months but mostly in my diaphragm-- and I wasn't sure if it was a tick thing. I had a new person work on doing some diaphragm releasing last week, and the diaphragm is a bit better but now the band of tightness is around the ribs and lungs more and I know for sure it is a tick borne flare babesia or something)
But yeah I took like 1/2 a dropperful of a bab and then a 1/3 dropperful a few days ago and it has been SO tight ever since.
I also added in the buhner herbs and black seed oil and curcumin.
I get the theory of herx but it doesn't make sense to me. If I am fighting an infection and throwing meds at it, it should be getting betternot worse. I kinda feel like the herx idea is a bit of a catch all- like oh you stil feel terrible, it is just a herx. I don't know. I am glad I am seeing a new llmd ( llnd) on Friday- and until then I am staying away from the a bab but staying on the other things.
Have you really heard a bab eventually works? It was in one of my formulas form hansa yrs ago but mixed in, and I assume in a tiny dosage. I want it to work! I need to be free of thi so I can breathe an relax again I am so consumed by this again it has taken over my life and I am exhausted, tight in the breathing area. so sad.
I wish I could say I know A-BAB works, but I can't. As we're newcomers to treating Lyme, we're trying to just go with the advice of the practitioner although I have some doubts. A few people on here have used it though.
Completely get what you're saying around herxing, and it's certainly pretty scary because once it's happening, there is that voice in your head saying 'what if this isn't actually a herx and something more serious is happening?'. The science behind the herxheimer reaction though is pretty sound. You kill off bad things, they release toxins into your bloodstream (including acetaldehyde, a form of ethanol, aka alcohol) that make you feel dog rough, thus the need for detox. I like to see it as a really bad hangover, but then again it's not me that experiences them so who am I to comment? I think ultimately, the hope is that everything gets killed off and expelled from the body, and you're sorted - but easier said than done.
Sorry to hear of your symptoms though - can't be pleasant. Can't say my wife has experienced that before (although her symptoms are in the dozens so maybe she has), but everyone's symptoms are unique. Like I say, give it a chance to work. We were advised that A-BAB may have to be taken diluted first off, i.e. put one dropper in to 4x water, and only consume 25% of the mixture! My wife seemed to tolerate it well up until a point, but once again, that's the mystery of the illness, and why everyone seems to respond so differently to different things. Stick with it and keep detoxing hard. If you're feeling worse from it, to an extent, it should mean it's helping in the long run. All the best
