Doxy dose

Just a quick question - i am on only 200mg of Doxy, prescribed with 300mg Roxythromycin, and tinidazole to pulse, for chronic chlamydia pneumoniae infection.

I was told, for CPn, since im only 62-63 kg (about 138 pounds), the dose can be lower.

But... i haven't tested for Lyme since in Aus its incredibly hard, but im seeking out a LLMD here.

If i also have Lyme, will I need to be on a higher dose? I have loads of neuro problems, resembling Parkinsons / dementia... so im guessing I will. I may end up needing stronger antibiotics later.

But just for now, should I speak to my CPn doc about slowly upping the dose?

Thanks for the response goshawk I think I read 400 mg somewhere, but was told since im small for a man, i could take lower dose, for the CPn. Maybe Lyme needs more.

And ill also prob need to add in a cell wall drug, like ceflasporin, if its Lyme

And yes - I will indeed be detoxing my over toxified socks off!

Are you taking the tinidazole on a pulsed schedule?

Sometimes it’s prescribed to take twice a week or in my case two days per month.

Well, the macrolides clarithromycin and azithromycin combined with doxy are used to treat lyme.
I'm assuming roxy is also a macrolide? If so, then that combo may be 'enough' for lyme.

You can see what symptoms drop off as you treat...and adjust if necessary.
