Has anyone gotten long term disability for Lyme in Massachusetts?

People who have gotten approved for disabilty... did you use your LLMD as your primary doctor? If so, did Social Security poo poo your LLMD? Did they say you need to use a different doctor?

I'm very confused, because both LLMDs I've used over the past 5 plus years have "MD" after their names, but because they are LLMDs, I thought I had to find another doctor to present to Social Security so they would agree to my case.

I’m not an expert, Mind, but are you appealing the decision? Do you have a lawyer? My understanding is pretty much all claims are denied at first. I hear you have to be really persistent.

I applied 3 months ago and I knew I would get denied, so I did a crappy job. But when they deny me, I'll appeal and know what exactly they denied me on. I focused on back pain.

I really did not want to do this but I have been completely disabled (regardless of whatever anyone else says) and unable to work for 3 years. I do whatever I can to get by. Down to my last $58 bucks. Powerbill is $1400, phone $300. At this point I don't care. I'm planning on the power going out soon, reading books with candles. Any money I get goes towards antibiotics and herbs. I have 4 month supply of a variety of different ones. I told all my friends that I might need $30 here and there for herbs in January.

if I get disability, I would be able to pay for my LLND, drugs, and bills. I literally only need a few hundred bucks a month. For whatever reason, they want to give me several tens of thousands of dollars back dated to 2015 when I first got sick. I doubt I will get it but at this point I have nothing to lose. I've lost 50 pounds by long fasting. Peanut butter and hard boiled eggs, and a huge cup of nasty herbs is basically what I eat every day.
