Hey everyone,
My latest CMP showed that my liver ALT levels are slightly elevated and my doc wants to repeat the test in a couple days. Mine was showing 66 this time and last time (couple months ago) I also had it at 64 and it went back to normal range by the repeat test. She says that it's probably just another herx. I'm on multiple abx so really don't want to take any breaks. =P
Have anyone else experienced this while on abx? When mine elevates it seems to be around the 60s otherwise it's in the 40s. Should I be too concerned that it occasionally climbs to the 60s?
For a period of time - repeated liver function tests coming back elevated, I stopped treatment for a few months.
When I went back on treatment , within a month we started Bartonella treatment.
My liver function has remained good ever since.
My thoughts are that it was perhaps the bart causing the wonky liver function.
My dr (regular) said that they weren’t that high - and nothing to worry about
.
What is the top end of the range on your results? If it’s high 40’s and you’re in the 60’s - that doesn’t sound too concerning.
Liver function bounces back - much better than the kidneys.
