Lyme flare from heart meds

I was first diagnosed with Lyme in 2010. Two years of massive antibiotics and I was feeling much better. Fast forward to two weeks ago. I was diagnosed with A fib (heart disease). I was prescribed Eliquis (blood thinner) and Metoprolol (regulates heartbeat). Since beginning these drugs I have been experiencing many of my initial Lyme symptoms (very painful joints, teeth pain, weakness). My first thought was this medicine (one or both) weakened my immune system which opened the door for spirochetes to take over. The chances of getting bit again are slim. The heart doctor said that they have never had anyone with side effects to these two drugs so suggested I go to my primary care doctor to see what's going on.

My question is....has anyone experienced Lyme flares from heart meds? Do many people with Lyme also have A fib?

The doctor didn't say whether he felt Lyme was the cause of my A fib. I think it is,tho.

Nothing else that I can think of would have lowered my immune system. What makes me think it could be the meds is....it all began within 2 days of starting the meds. My Lyme Doctor believed (in 2010) that my Lyme started because my immune system was lowered because of a tetanus shot...several of his patients came to him with Lyme after getting a tetanus shot. I know there are drugs that lower immune function (prednisone is one) that we should avoid. Just wondering if the heart meds should be added to that list.
