I took it and about 30 minutes later felt kinda strange. Kinda high or something which isn’t what I intended to get from it. A little later I experienced some energy it felt like that I wouldn’t normally have.
I experienced everything you're mentioning in this post when I first tried CBD oil. I know technically it doesn't supposed to get you high, but for the first few weeks, it did for me. Felt great, after about
a month, I never got those high feelings ever again.
As for the herxing, which can be translated into muscle twitching, weird sensations throughout the body, a sick feeling, then a bursts of energy. That still comes and goes for me, whenever I try different CBD oils or even smoke different strains of marijuana.
It's amazing when you think about
it, because there's a lot of different strains of hemp, which make CBD oil. And a lot of different strains of marijuana... This could be a good thing, since borrelia has a way to adapt to many different antibiotics and plants. What I'm getting at is, whenever I try a new strain of marijuana, I sometimes herx differently.
There's some recent studies and articles showing that cannabinoids could help fight drug resistant MRSA and tuberculosis. If it kills those forms of bacteria, most likely it's very antibacterial when it comes to borrelia as well.

But I think it was just that, a lot of it propaganda.
Can you possibly still get side effects from CBD oil or cannabis/marijuana...?
Sure, but they are minor compared to the alternatives out there, I think CBD is a lot more safer than cannabis.
Cannabis/Marijuana isn't for everyone, I know it can possibly make you paranoid or even depressed at times. But on the other hand make you more lifted, positive feelings and energy. With CBD oil, I never really encountered a side effect from it... Other than that high feeling, which eventually just went away once my body adjusted.
And to be honest with you, mixing and matching cbd oil or cannabis up with different antibiotics can without a doubt change your moods, due to some antibiotics already having side effects of changing your mood.
Personally, I feel that cannabis or cbd oil is a lot safer to take with your antibiotic, than any opioid or pain drug on the market, both in toxicology and overdosing, which is basically impossible. It doesn't take long for someone with chronic lyme to start abusing a pain pill like Tylenol which could lead to having some serious repercussions on your liver or kidneys, and yet that's an overcounter pain drug, something to think about
. Research the longterm effects of cbd oil and cannabis.... You'll find in some cases, both have the power to possibly detox your body of toxins...
Could you cure lyme on it's own just by taking CBD oil or cannabis oil(THC), I have my doubts, but maybe in large potent doses of potent Rick Simpson Oil, similar to what cancer patients are doing could be very beneficial...
I would be interesting to see what effect a potent form of CBD oil or Rick Simpson Oil would have on biofilm colonies in vitro...
There's a lot of people that take CBD oil and even cannabis for pain managment with chronic lyme disease. But as I mentioned above, it may also help you detox from herxing and toxic antibiotic, as well as modulate your immune system like low dose naltrexone, prevent your lyme from developing into something more permament like MS or Parkinsons, like Michael J Fox who first contracted Lyme. CBD oil and marijuana has show to have very potent antinflamatory properties very similar to Turmeric.
