hello, I have decided to post an update on my biomag therapy mostly because when I was starting out with this therapy there was practically nobody using it or reviewing on it and this may be interesting to read if anyone is currently going through it or contemplating it ...11 months ago I began biomagnetism which consisted off a session every 4 weeks . initially I noticed almost instant results especially with energy levels but it has taken a long time to get good results,it hasn't been until my last session that I have noticed a really notable improvement in fact my next appointment is not for 3 months, than 6 months and hopefully , fingers crossed I'm at the end of my treatment... but I know I'm not out of the woods just yet and will come back and post honestly how I am in 3 months time ..I contracted lyme on a trip to NY I am living in Dublin Ireland and there is very little gp support and one lyme doctor with a long waiting list here so after reading some very impressive success stories on biomag on an irish lyme fb support group I decided to give it a shot.. I was sceptical but my therapist was very knowledgeable and supportive I just felt like he was being honest when he said he could help me- I just got a good feeling from him - when I first started sessions I had practically every lyme symptom going including severe neurological symptoms ,seizurey episodes, loss of sensation in arms as legs , severe weakness, crazy imsomnia and heart problems - today my only symptom is fatigue in the evening after a 9 hour working day/mom of 2! - my therapist is fairly confident that the fatigue is something that will also resolve itself with time. now don't get me wrong it was a tough road every one step forward I took ten back for a long time and I did contemplate giving up many times and really started to doubt if i was doing the right thing but I'm so glad I didn't. the hardest part of all was the lack of support- my gp had no belief in this therapy and consistently told me I wasting my money and time .I actually stopped telling her I was doing it. when your as sick as we are with lyme you need medical support and it was frustrating to see physical results and doubt yourself because everyone else is or feel like the whole thing was placebo but ultimately your body doesn't lie and a year ago I was in a very bad way and getting worse and worse . As I said i wanted to post this up as I think it's important to know that biomagnetism may be an option that might work for people! ( to note i did this therapy exclusively but many people do it alongside herbs or antibs)I think there seems to be more momentum on this in the last 6 months and years to come hopefully it will be more commonly known as a very useful treatment for lyme but has treated people with many different ailments including aids, syphilis and tb !.As I said I will be honest and post any changes in my health - if anyone has any questions regarding this I'll do my best to answer im no expert though and can only go by my personal experience also if anyone out there has had experiences with biomag positive or negative please post!! it will be interesting to hear other people's opinions!

no its a completely different therapy ..biomagnetism uses pairs of magnets of opposite charges to depolarize areas in the body that are unbalanced due to pathogens or other factors -it also works to regulate a alkaline pH it was discovered by Mexican doctor Isaac Goiz and a guy who worked for NASA roughly about 30 years ago so it's still a fairly new therapy.
A large number of diseases are associated with changes in the pH level in the internal organs and can develop with the presence of viruses, bacteria, fungus, parasites, toxins, and other nasties !So the development of illness cannot develop with a balanced pH level.
there is a few videos on YouTube that explain it a bit better but there really is a science behind it - it is actually on the medical register in some countries and recognised as a genuine medical treatment!
although to note that same as looking for a lyme doctor it is important to go to a therapist that has great experience with lyme as even with biomag it can be complex to treat !

Prior to Biomagnetism I did 18 months of antibiotic and immune boosting treatment with the only ID consultant in Ireland who treats lyme. The antibiotics were working but I needed more treatment, he generally puts a timeframe on treatment as he is mindful of the controversial context in which he works. In addition to antibiotic treatment I also did bioresonance and homeopathy.

Twelve months ago I knew the deadline on antibiotics was approaching. I had read on the Irish Lyme and Co forums that people were getting good results from biomagnetism. When I first visited the biomagnetism practitoner a year ago, within 20 minutes he was able to identify all of the co-infections above ( I have since retested with Armin labs - Tickplex Plus Elisa which screens for pathogen specific IgG and IgM antibodies) and these co-infections were confirmed). While I am still sceptical and was then very doubting about the treatment it is interesting that he could identify the co- infections and viruses and mould.
Over the last 12 months the die off and suffering have been similar and sometimes worse to being on antibiotics, it has been pretty relentless and am still looking for "that turning a corner" phase.

More recently I have considered giving up but I am keeping at it as the practitoner is good at what he does. I do feel that I now need to hit this with herbs and some more antibiotics . In advance of that I am going to attack heavy metals , mould and parasites. Therefore it is encouraging to read that you are doing so well. Wishing you continued healing.

Did your Dr. treat you for Babesia with Mepron or Malarone?

hi all, yes I did herx - I had a lot of infections two strains of babesia , Bart and a few others - my herxs sounded quite similar to the way people taking antibs herx - A LOT of brain stuff , confusion, seizurey sensations, depersonalisaton,light sensitivity, back ache, shin ache ,complete body ache and crazy heart stuff - just intensified symptoms usually 3/4 days after my session for anything up to ten days the last few months I would have quite a few good days and then herxing again a week before my appointment - during the summer I felt like I was herxing for months on end I just felt miserable constantly. I know what you mean pinksalt about waiting to turn a corner I felt like It would never happen -what I will say was it was very gradual I kept a daily diary which helped to track my symptoms and it wasn't until I realised I was doing something that I havn' t been able to do in a long time such as staying up and watching tv past 7pm or actually managing housework that I realised I was starting to get better - I didn't have a Eurika moment where I woke up one day feeling fantastic is has all been very gradual - and I suppose still a work in progress for another few months the therapist describes it as mopping up the mess that lyme leaves behind - even though there is no active infections left there is still damage ( which is reversable he assures me!) left behind which will take my body time to fix- if you are going to the guy I'm going too pink salt - I dont think you could be in better hands he has always come across as honest to me and if he had got to a point where there was nothing he could do for you I'm sure he would say- i know a woman that it took 24 sessions so a full 2 years but she got there and she was sick for ten years had tried antibs, herbs and many other alternative treatment biomag was the successful one for her ! another thing to note is that biomag works on emotional issues as well,I was crippled with anxiety and fear and these too have improved - I suppose the mind and body always go hand in hand ...our bodies are very hitech machines that are programmed to detox and sometimes just need the helping hand we are conditioned to think that medicine is needed as soon as we are unwell and modern medicine does many amazing things but in this case my body was able to do it with the help of magnets- it was a struggle to believe it sometimes but it worked

I scoured the internet trying to find info or personal experiences on this treatment especially when it felt like I was wasting my time , there was very little available particularly with people who where doing biomag exclusively! hopefully this thread will help someone in the future ! all the best to you too!

Funny you mentioned Dr Garcia.

I've actually seen him 3 or 4 times. I feel like I noticed a bit of improvement after, but wasn't sure of it as I was taking other meds and other med changes around the time. I tried it out of desperation but didn't end up continuing as I really couldn't tell whether this stuff really worked and I found it a little to hocus pokusy to me. I don't think it's impossible that it could work, but at some point Lyme drained so much of my finances that I wanted to avoid things that had less proof to back up cost efficacy.

lymelearner i completely get thinking the bio magnetism modality is a bit more hokey than other options. however i do think there is something to it i mean the science makes sense to me.

i've 3 1/2 years into abx and i'm not making any progress on my nerve issues so not feeling optimistic continuing to pop abx another X years to make it better.

now that my symptoms are isolated to overall nerves wondering if doing bio magnetism could help. there are a few angles to go with this like Garcia so we'll see. i'm going to try the AmpCoil for a few turns and see if that helps.

i'm always open to trying anything that may help at this point.

Good to hear such positive outcome! I too had read about this and is is accessible at several places throughout MA. I have it bookmarked along with the other therapies I've been trying to read through - ionic footbaths, bioresonnance scanning, neurophatonic therapy, neurocardial synch, etc. Just starting to work with a LLMD and still analyzing coinfections etc....but want other therapies on hand to access when needed! Good to get personal info on the biomagnetics piece...thank you!
